That's exactly what it is. VADA turned up a few days before UKAD, apparently, so what they found must have been ingested after VADA had taken their samples. Had VADA turned up at the same time as UKAD, Whyte would have failed both.
For some reason, I though UKAD performed all the tests under VADA rules. I guess I was mistaken. I wonder if we'll ever know the truth. :maybe:

Nah they do separate tests. However going off what Eddie has said, by the sounds of it, Whyte used the evidence of all the VADA tests being clean for him to be cleared to fight by the national anti-doping panel. They used the evidence of the VADA tests.

That still seems odd to me though as that means that they either didn't trust their own tests or that they just discounted the alleged positive test that came back from their own testing.

Ugh. Very confused situation.

Do they both test to the same criteria or do they have different standards?

Is it possible to pass a vada test and fail a ukad test as a result?

I'd bet that IF VADA also tested it was on different dates that the samples were taken.

Do you really think that an odd day or so difference between the timing of VADA’s and UKAD’s drug testing really makes a difference? I’m not so sure myself.

I think has more to do with the fact that UKAD and VADA are drug testing agencies that follow a different set of protocols, because the former is affiliated and recognised by the global regulatory body WADA, but the latter isn’t.

VADA and UKAD have a different set of barometers to gauge whether an athlete should be deemed as being a drug cheat or not.

As it turns out, VADA had tested on the 15th, two day before the UKAD sample failure. So Whyte could've taken PED's after the VADA test and before the UKAD test.
