Eubank Jr Vs Blackwell. That was some poor corner work.

I don't think so, easy to say after the event, but Blackwell was still competitive and wasn't sent back out again after a beating.

Crolla against Lomachenko after the third round.

What was the point.

One of the worst I’ve seen was frank Maloney letting a depleted Paul Ingle go out round after round for a steady prolonged beating while losing his world title.
I remember being horrified watching it as he was sent out for the 12th round before getting badly stopped & nearly killed.

Letting Gamache even enter the ring in the first place against the equivalent of a LHW.

For me, I thought it during the fight. Blackwell was hanging in there because he was a warrior but he needed protecting from his own bravery. He was coming off second best for most of the fight and getting banged up badly. I always recall listening to Lockett in the corner before the tenth, and thinking what fight is he watching here?

I know Lockett is a stand up bloke, and well liked, but that was a bad night for him as the trainer, I know he has since said he was expecting Blackwell to come on in the later rounds, but the opposite was happening and he didn't see it.

Tunde seems a maniac who is interested in himself and not the fighter.

Dangerous combination

One trainer who always kept a watchful eye on his fighters was Brian Hughes. What a great coach he was.

McClellans corner vs benn were very inept, tho could be argued he was always dangerous.

Big Terry should never have let Clev out for the third. Oh, he wasn’t working Clev’s corner, was he?

Lebedev's corner was not even considering to pull him out vs Guillermo Jones.

hardly maloneys fault, steve pollard was the one calling the shots in the corner. i was in the crowd that night and can remember seeing the blood in the ring lights when he got hit by the final shot. really made me question boxing for a long time after watching that. sincliar and pickering also blasted out on that card.

Well I remember seeing Frank in the corner, either of them could and should have stopped it long before the end

Very good effort from Yarde against Kovalev. I don't have a problem with the ending, they came to win, not to dip their toe in the water and get out as soon as it got too hot.

If you want to see some recent very poor cornerwork then look no further than Issac Dogboe's team. They got way too carried away with his success, thought he was invincible and Issac took an horrendous beating. That was bad enough, but the real kicker comes when they let him take another 12 round flogging in his NEXT fight against the SAME guy ! Shockingly, shameful.

Yep, Bennie's call of Davey Moore getting tortured at the ruthless fists of Duran defied belief. The corner and the ref were shambolic.

How about when a referee refuses to let the corner pull him out , like the ego that is Mickey vann, when graham Earle was taking heavy punches from katsidis. Yes Earle rallied briefly after vann threw towel back out of ring but for vann to ignore the trainer who knows his fighter better than anyone has always made me wonder .

That’s the only time I have ever seen that happen.

I can’t understand why this rule was ever made?

Didn't the ref in Cotto vs Foreman ignore the corner too? That was a totally stupid call that just let to a crippled Foreman taking unnecessary punishment.

It’s easy to say with hindsight that he shouldn’t have come out for last round
