It's a fascinating fight because of the age and body frame differences. No-one can really predict with confidence what will happen.
- Will Fury get scared and run?
- Will Potvekin gas?
- Will Potvekin suddenly age as many older fighters do
- Will Fury reveal a fragile chin?
You can make an opinion on any of these, but no-one really knows for sure. All options are on the table.
Hughie is just not world level.
I don't care how old Povetkin is. He is 10 times the fighter that Hughie is
Fury lacks the heart to be anything special. He's the modern bugner. Survival mode specialist.

Think hughie finds a way to do not enough.
That is hilarious!!!

So you sincerely feel that Povetkin will beat Fury within a couple of rounds?
If what you’ve claimed is a sincere opinion, then that’s essentially what you’re saying.
That is not at all what I'm saying. And typical of your reading between the lines.
In a 10 round fight I expect the scores to be
8-2 or a late stoppage
Re: Hughie Fury vs. Alexander Povetkin - 31 August 2019
Bugner was tough. Hughie doesn't belong in the same book as Bugner let alone the same sentence

Hughie has far more "class" (meaning skills) than Bugner ever had on any night, but, yes, so far he hasn't showed the desire to seek and destroy as Bugner tried to do at least.

I'd dispute that, hughies skills amount to flicking the jab and backpedalling.

Wasn't meant to be, but I'll take the plaudits.

What's the word (name) for running about until your opponent tires out?
I know what rope-a-dope is.
If there isn't a name for it, Hughie should claim it
Im pretty sure I seen in an interview with Povetkins coach Ivan"Grozniy" that they learned from the Klitschko fight and Povetkin is better prepeared now against clinching. And of course Hughie is nowhere near as strong as Wladimir. Povetkin puts togather nice combos and he isnt just trying to fly in and land something lucky so thats why I think Povetkin will wear Fury down because the power of Povetkin eventually will make him an easier and easier target.

Povetkin is old enough to be Hughie’s father. The Russian WILL tire chasing Hughie around the ring like a giant chicken in a pen. This fight shapes up to be a close decision either way, imo.

I know looks aren't everything, but Huggie Fuggie (the Lance Armstrong of boxing) really looked like he has trained hard for this one.

So you say that Povektin is ten times better than Fury, but yet you expect the Russian to win by only a 98-92 margin?
That’s not ten times better, my friend!
Methinks you’re embellishing.
Cue the passionate hatred and aggressive vitriol.

Only if he fathered him at age 15.

Takes more than flicking a jab and "backpedalling" to get through Pulev and Parker. Ask yourself this: who has ever hit him hard? He's naturally a defensive fighter, so what? Not like defensive fighters haven't been before.
