The main event is a cracker tbf
So was Johnny Armour vs Francis Ampofo. :TU:
Box Office isn’t and should never be about styles gelling or the entertainment the fight might bring, it should always be about the quality of the match up and fighters on display.
Here we have two heavyweights barely in the top ten, contesting a PPV fight.

PPV should be reserved for truly elite level fighters fighting each other.
Taylor vs. Prog is the main event though.

Parker should batter Del Boy, and probably stop him late. Del does not have an answer for Parker's speed.
Only a lucky punch could change that, and Parker can take a shot or two.

It would certainly be a first if Parker were to batter and stop another contender

don't see parker hurting chisora. parker resorting to run after realising he can't keep chisora at bay who will relentessly hunt & hurt him downstairs. crippling shots to the BODY a la canelo by del boy, we haven't seen the best of him yet.

Why?

I like the fight. Parker deserved no less than a draw v Whyte, imo, and he gave AJ a 12 round tussle that would have been closer if the ref had allowed more infighting.

I lean to Parker by a comfortable decision (116-112ish).
I feel Parker has gone backwards before he won his belt he was an aggressive pressure fighter but now he tries to box more and I'm not sure on his mentality now he seemed content to go the distance with AJ rather than try to win also Vs Whyte he seemed to fold in the mid rounds when Whyte roughed him up .I just think he's failed a bit when questions have been asked of him

you need to watch the last few minutes of the whyte v parker again and see how close it came to a stoppage or ko by parker - whyte was gassed and on his last breaths !

But he left it to late , I just don't think he's the fighter he was believed to be 2/3 years ago

This is a great fight, the type that the HW division needs more of. I think Parker has a slight edge stylistically but it's close to a 50/50 fight.

I disagree Oggie me old mate.
Parker is on a different speed. I think he will pot shot Del Boy and batter him on the outside.
It will be almost like an exhibition with Del Boy as the heavy bag.

Parker's proclivity (big word!) of taking minutes off won't go away. I like Parker, but I'm not too high on him. I hope you're right! Cheers!

Joe Parker has some of the division's fastest hands, yet he's still struggled every time he's faced a legit opponent. I'm pretty sure that if he wins it's going to be in a competitive decision that pretty much no one considers really impressive. He is not a polished fighter and will not blow away anyone good.

I find it rich that you start the sentence that way and then conclude that basically you think Chisora is too tough when Chisora has never beaten a higher level opponent EVER.

Takam is Parker's second best win and Chisora knocked him out

Both of them when they fight high end opponents struggle

Parker's gonna beat Chisora. It might be easy for him or hard for him depending on how he goes about it, but he'll win even if he fights Chisora's fight I think because Chisora just doesn't beat fighters of this caliber.

Maybe, though I thought Chisora won the first Whyte fight and Parker only has beaten one person above Chisora.

I doubt Joe ever has an easy fight at this level

It would be as much a first as Chisora beating a Parker level fighter

In my eyes Chisore won Helenius and Whyte in the 1st fight. And that performance of him against Whyte was more convincing, than Parker's one. If to look on all Chisora's and Parker's performances at the higher level, I'd name those two of Chisora the best. And Parker's best would be in AJ fight. I guess, in their bout against each other Parker will win, but again with questions.

chisora won every fuckin round vs. helenius, awful robbery.

chisora was in a real slump around the time kabayel fight, some motivational crisis shit. he really got his shit together now, haye did him good obviously, still he himself had to realise that he wasted a lot of potential by just not being 100% professional.

he's in his prime years for a heavyweight boxer still.

takam fight was nothing short of a classic. szplika ko was amazing. the whyte war could have gone either way, in the second one he was even better but caught with a perfect shot that would've put down everybody.

so many amazing fights out there for him, his relentless pressure style when he means business would be a nightmare for a lot of big, stiff 'future champs'

except fury i wouldn't write him off against nobody and he would give everybody a war.
think we haven't seen the best of him.

imagine del boy puts away parker and let's say povetkin or fvck whom next & talks a lot of shit at ruiz, ruiz repeats versus joshua and chooses fvckin chisora for his first defense.
