Re: Lomachenko is so annoying

The most annoying aspect of Lomachenko is when his fans claim that Luke Campbell is a welterweight, when the reality is that he is definitely a lightweight.
Loma does almost everything better than Bud.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑01 Sep 2019, 14:23He's just not as good as Terrence. He's faster than bud, that's the only thing he does better. Loma is top 5, this default #1 talk is nonsense.boxing_rocks wrote: ↑01 Sep 2019, 10:52
Yes, he is way above Crawford. Not sure how Crawford would look against prime Lara or another elite JMW.

Crawford makes adjustments mid-fight better, but Loma has superior footwork and speed.
Can't say loma has looked better in his biggest fights. Nobody has ever given bud half the trouble Linares gave loma. Not to mention salido. Can't hold his 2nd fight against him, but that was a bigger fight than any of these. Footwork is about even, loma has quicker and fancier movement but he doesn't switch back and forth effortlessly like Crawford does. Loma is definitely easier to hit, but he throws more punches too.
When didn't Loma do a good job adjusting mid fight? Also, with harder opponents than of Crawford, Loma needed to adjust more.
Crawford was troubled a good bit by Gamboa in the early going. He was troubled a bit by Dulorme too. Other than Linares Loma really hasn't been troubled much at all by most people, and he dominated the majority of the fight with Linares too.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑01 Sep 2019, 15:28Can't say loma has looked better in his biggest fights. I didn't say he doesn't do a good job. With Crawford it's often just more obvious though because he's a bit of a slow starter. Usually Lomachenko starts off in full control, and stays in control.boxing_rocks wrote: ↑01 Sep 2019, 15:31When didn't Loma do a good job adjusting mid fight? When he fights Spence or an elite JMW (if he ever does), we'll see how much trouble he will be in.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑01 Sep 2019, 15:28 Nobody has ever given bud half the trouble Linares gave loma.
Gambia troubled him, dulorme did not. Plenty of people talked up the chances of postol and indongo on here until it happened. Loma didn't dominate Linares, he got put on his ass and the fight was in the balance. Pretty obvious who's been more dominate in their biggest fights. The guy that didn't lose one if them. Though Russell is the best win either has,.gilgamesh wrote: ↑01 Sep 2019, 15:33Crawford was troubled a good bit by Gamboa in the early going. He was troubled a bit by Dulorme too. He hasn't even fought a Top 5 Welterweight yet. All of them are with PBC except for him.boxing_rocks wrote: ↑01 Sep 2019, 15:35When he fights Spence or an elite JMW (if he ever does), we'll see how much trouble he will be in.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑01 Sep 2019, 15:28 Nobody has ever given bud half the trouble Linares gave loma.
P4P, Linares is far better than anyone Crawford has ever fought. He had a decent size advantage too (the fight night weight difference was greater than Loma enjoyed vs Rigo). Loma vs the bigger lightweights, is roughly similar to Crawford vs the bigger junior middleweights. Let's see how much trouble they give Crawford, before trying to compare the two.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑01 Sep 2019, 15:28Can't say loma has looked better in his biggest fights. Crawford is too big for Loma and I doubt it will ever happen. Crawford steps on the ring well over 160 I'd guess and Loma steps in well under 140 I'd say guess. Different worlds.
Poor little loma getting compared to giant Crawford. You guys are ridiculous.Deleted_Scenes wrote: ↑02 Sep 2019, 14:29P4P, Linares is far better than anyone Crawford has ever fought. I like Crawford, and he's clearly elite, but his resume is among the very thinnest of the P4P guys.
You can't help, but mention other P4P types in conversation. Your insistence that Crawford is DEFINITELY better is baffling to me. Because he hasn't proven it in any way, shape or form.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑02 Sep 2019, 15:24Poor little loma getting compared to giant Crawford. Lmao, there you go again. We got along much better when you actually read my posts. Lomas gifts are plenty, he doesn't need fanboy bullshit like saying Crawford is a big welter while he's a tiny, tiny lightweight. Neither is true.gilgamesh wrote: ↑02 Sep 2019, 15:34You can't help, but mention other P4P types in conversation. Your insistence that Crawford is DEFINITELY better is baffling to me. I'm not saying he's not better, but he certainly hasn't proven it without any doubt or even come close to it.

Who's calling him the best ever?ewenhay wrote: ↑02 Sep 2019, 15:53 This happens a lot these days. People like to rush to anoint everything as the best ever without letting matters take their natural course.
It was the same with Golovkin a few years ago.
Lomachenko is a cracking fighter but the best ever? Can't see it myself. Certainly not at present anyway. Even in recent times you'd have to rank Mayweather and Pac ahead of him. And that's only going back a few years. We're not even talking about the greats that came before them.
I mean are we really saying he's better than the likes of Sugar Ray Leonard with a straight face?
