I think that's because 99.9% of American voters don't even understand what they're voting for. They're raised with an affiliation and they stick with it and fight about it 100%.

The most telling thing is watching two friends bicker on social media. They hung out together for decades but it took fb to realize that one is a limp twisted liberal and the other is a blood thirsty conservative.

I read things constantly online such as, "Are you're voting against Trump before or after you pick up your welfare check?"
There is so much nastiness and stupidity on both sides. I see the divide more as someone you can have a debate with vs those you can't.

A lot of people would think all Trump voters would be against it and all Democrats would be for it. But that would not be the case.

I went into a bar in the uk with my Mrs to watch Kovalov v Yarde on a giant screen, the fight started about 8.30pm uk time, we walked in at 8.15pm expecting to fight our way
to the bar, there were about 6 people there and none of them knew about or were interested in the fight, it was pretty sad as there was no atmosphere but at least we got the sofa in front of the biggest tv screen I’ve ever seen !

I'm a white America and have zero preference when it comes to skin or nationality. My favorite fighters since I've watched boxing are Floyd Mayweather, Felix Trinidad, Lennox Lewis, Naseem Hamed, Carl Froch, Acelino Freitas, Juan Manuel Marquez and most currently Errol Spence.

Im a white conservative Christian Texan.
And I don't care what color a fighter is.
I don't care where he comes from.
I just like to watch boxing

I'm a conservative Christian (who happens to be white) and most of my boxing buddies are conservative Latinos (mostly Mexican/Mex-American). My experience has been that Mexican fans are loyal to Mexican fighters but not necessarily other Latinos (especially Puerto Ricans).

Most of my favorite fighters are black or Latino (ever since I was a little kid) and I generally root for American/Westerner fighters over European ones (but I like a few Euro fighters like Dubois, Bivol & Buatsi).

There are certain fighters that go beyond ethnic/national loyalties. Manny Pacquiao is the best example. When he had the Thurman fight on PPV we watched it at a local club that holds about 250-300 people. Even though the crowd was 75-80% folks of Mexican ancestry the crowd was making way more noise for Pac than they made for Canelo just 2 months before in his Jacobs PPV at the same club!! Part of Canelo's decline in popularity with Mexicans is because his current style seems to be a more cautious boxer than the slugger he used to be. Most Mexicans like "trench warfare" in the ring!!

Nonsense. I stand behind my statement. Boxing is not followed by, nor a significant part of, white American culture and you could very well ask 50 white Americans who the heavyweight champion is and the sample wouldn’t know and many of those asked would not care.

I am not at all saying that there aren’t seriously devoted white fans, but they are outliers.

This has been the case for a generation at least.

I'm lucky on this one. There's an old pool hall near the lake I live on. He bootlegs the ppv' s and then does all you can eat wings for 10 bucks. Some of the vest times has been watching the fights there.

Many American boxing fans who come from big boxing areas will cheer for the fighter from their city, state, etc. In Philly, the Philly fans will always cheer for the Philly fighter no mater what race or ethnic group they're from. Now if it's 2 Philly fighters boxing against each other in Philly, then the fans will fall into tribal distinctions. I remember when I boxed in the amateurs in Philly...a lot of the shows would be in mixed areas. If you had a black vs white, blacks cheered for the black and whites cheered for the white. Now there are some prejudice white people and when a team from Ireland came to fight Philly and the Philly team had a tough white guy from a tough white neighborhood surrounded by black communities....all of his neighborhood showed up. They cheered for the Irish boxers because they were white except for when their guy boxed. They also started a couple of fights in the crowd with black fans.

Most conservatives hate the government until they really need help

Most liberals love the government programs until they actually have to use them

There are hotspots like that scattered across the US, except for the bootleg PPV fights, because the business could lose its license over that issue!!

The place my buddies & I go to watch PPVs like Canelo, Pac & Spence/Garcia doesnt even have a cover charge or admission cost to get in. They almost always get a crowd of 250-300 and sell more than enough food & drinks to make a nice profit without an admission charge.

White conservative here, all boxes checked. Wilder is greatest heavy of all time.
