Agree on Fury. Wilder manages distance really well and can fight off his back foot. Both of which would spell doom for Ruiz when coupled with his power.gilgamesh wrote: ↑18 Sep 2019, 16:35He'd stand plenty of chance against Wilder. None whatsoever against Fury.
One of them styles make fights kinda deals.
Wilder is a huge puncher, but wild and leaves himself open a lot. Fury is more defensive minded than offensive minded, and would be moving away from Ruiz, and just outboxing him in a dull ass fight all night. Wilder would go for the KO, but would leave himself vulnerable to counter shots while doing so.
Fury would never give Ruiz much to hit.
Tyson Fury is annoying as hell.

Can fight off his back foot? What in god's name are you talking about?
Re: Tyson Fury is annoying as hell.
He was getting outboxed by the slower, more skilled Ortiz through the first 4 rounds. His power bailed him out, but never did I think he was showing particularly good technical skill anywhere in that fight. He just swung for the fences, and landed the homerun shot he needed to land.

It was a beautiful short straight right. It was no homerun shot. C'mon bruv!
Re: Tyson Fury is annoying as hell.
It was a good shot. Wasn't a homerun shot. If Wilder was "fighting off the back foot" he was doing it by accident. He doesn't know how to do it well.oogiebe wrote: ↑18 Sep 2019, 16:46LOL! You say Potato and I say Pot-AH-to.gilgamesh wrote: ↑18 Sep 2019, 16:44

Nothing to do with Ortiz being gassed-out and defensively irresponsible trying desperately to close the show?

I saw his win, and I saw what happened v Wallin. I would take TFKoB to do him.gilgamesh wrote: ↑18 Sep 2019, 16:28When you say TFKoB? You mean Ruiz?ironbeard wrote: ↑18 Sep 2019, 09:06 Feel the hate in this thread.
Like it or not, prime or not, exciting or not, Fury defeated Wlad. I think that he deserves credit for his comeback from his physical, emotional, and mental collapse. I also scored the fight for Wilder on the night, but I could see a draw being fair, given the number of close rounds.
Which brings me to the point; I have a problem with Fury fans. I think that Tyson is an overall positive for the sport, but the linearal stuff is intolerable.
It is interesting that someone finally brought up Fury’s “borderline” tactics post cut. The ref allowed “infighting.” This is the heavyweight division. They slobber on each other for a living.
Fury is entertaining outside of the ring. He promotes well. TFKoB will dismantle him.
Because I got news for you I doubt Ruiz would win a round against Tyson Fury.
In fact, I figure Ruiz is getting ready to be the new version of Hasim Rahman or Ingemar Johansson. You've seen his big win, and you won't see another one is closer to reality than "he's gonna be beating all the top guys now"

And I’m not being nice either, since my round-for-round real-time remarks of the fight clearly make the same claim.![]()

Tyson Fury is entertaining as hell. I enjoy him outside the ring just as much as inside it. I like his style of fighting because he does it all...inside and out...big and small....backwards and forwards. The man has serious all around boxing skills. He has serious outside the ring entertainment skills as well. If he had bigger power he would be the whole damn ball of wax.
Like him or not in the Klitschko and Wilder fights....he did that in Germany and the USA...on their turf. Undefeated with other easier paths available and putting it on the line on the road instead against the best. Who can't admire that. Fury has balls of steel to travel and do that...Gypsy style I might add. He is just a very bad arse character. Cartoonish and super heroish. There's Only Oooooone Tyson Fury! One Tyson Fury! Walking along singing his songs...Walking In a Gypsy Wonderland.![[icon_notworthy.gif]](./images/smilies/icon_notworthy.gif)

Re: Tyson Fury is annoying as hell.
Fury is damaged goods. He proved it by ducking the Wilder rematch and struggling with a tomato can cherry pick.
Now the cut? Might be career ending. A cut that bad will re-open. His opponents will be targeting where he was cut.
My opinion. Don't be butt hurt hearing the truth.

nicely worded
Re: Tyson Fury is annoying as hell.
This is a pathetic thread. Just a platform for people to whinge about a fighter they don't like. Don't see any thread titles of a similar nature on other fighters?
Re: Tyson Fury is annoying as hell.
True. He isnt the only boring fighter.

Re: Tyson Fury is annoying as hell.
There was a thread not to long Ago with the same title about Lomachenko though and alot of similar threads have been made about Joshua, Canelo, Mayweather etc all top fighters get hated on Fury is no exception to this nor is he worse off then the rest either.
I understand the hate for Fury as i agree with most of the points in the thread however it has no bearing on him as a fighter, he keeps winning no matter what I or anybody else feels about it/him.
I just simply choose never to watch him as I see nothing entertaining in watching him clown, bounce around and occationaly throw a punch or two.
Re: Tyson Fury is annoying as hell.
Its not about winning, brian nielson has more wins than floyd mayweather jr. does this make nielson a fun to watch or relevant boxer?Thunder and Lightning wrote: ↑19 Sep 2019, 16:48There was a thread not to long Ago with the same title about Lomachenko though and alot of similar threads have been made about Joshua, Canelo, Mayweather etc all top fighters get hated on Fury is no exception to this nor is he worse off then the rest either.

furys whole style is ugly and i am glad that i am not the only one thinking that. canelo, vasily, joshua are fun to watch.

I think most of us don't like to watch Fury. Either Fury for that matter. Neither is a good watch.RonnyJ wrote: ↑19 Sep 2019, 16:55Its not about winning, brian nielson has more wins than floyd mayweather jr. does this make nielson a fun to watch or relevant boxer?Thunder and Lightning wrote: ↑19 Sep 2019, 16:48
