Not to dredge up the ole modern training g argument, but this is a guy winning on balls, pace and chin.

The prospects that Collard has "upset" were built up guys with wins over terrible opponents.

Well good for him for not being a terrible opponent then.

Nobody is saying he's a superstar, it's just cool to see the guy that's being brought in to lose, win.

I figure managers will start being a bit more careful about who they match against him soon if they're not already.

Collard had over 100 amateur boxing matches. He's not just an mma guy coming out of nowhere lol

Not that I don't enjoy seeing him bump off the unbeaten guys coming in as the B side, but maybe a manager needs to give this guy a chance and start matching him as the A side again. People like him, and he seems to be improving.

I hope we keep seeing this guy get solid wins on TV for a while. I was excited when I saw him on the card the other day, and I'll be damned if he didn't pull off another one :OhYes:

Just shows the superiority of MMA when a tough but certainly gatekeeper at best MMA dude crosses over and starts busting up prospects left and right

These guys get it https://forums.sherdog.com/threads/form ... t.4115464/

Got another fight already! Covid ain't stopping Cassius Clay :yay:

I just watched him vs that Uzbek guy who stopped him, man that Uzbek looked the business, Clay is one tough dude but that guy played with him. Uzbek also shutout Vaughn Alexander after Vaughn beat our boi Money Powell

I like the Clayster, but his fights as B side are a lot more interesting. No doubt he's earned some of these easier a-side fights, but these last 2 dudes sucked, let's get him in vs another prospect soon and get some of those fun competitive fights he's known for

I don't really get the obsession with Collard. He was a decent MMA prospect for about a year who kinda flopped and turned into a ham and egger, and now he basically fulfills the same role in boxing. What makes him any more appealing than any other fighter at his level?

He does have especially good form for upsets, and there is a feel good element to those. He also got some on PBC and ESPN which helps his profile. Plus his b-side opponents are probably cheap as f@ck

But the last two guys, though I like Clay, I just do not want to see more opponents like that. Dudes could barely fight and couldnt take a punch at all

Just think it’s because he’s been hand picked for the away corner a bunch of times and not read the script, it’s refreshing
