Bazza has reacted to Gallen’s calls for a rematch of Friday night’s draw, declaring he is interested in a second fight but saying it would need to “be worth my while”.

Both were reputed to have collected $600k each for their 12 minutes of effort.

The Gal would go for 3 minute rounds in any rematch, whilst Bazza would be happy to remain keeping the 2 minute noodles.

But what is the end game for either, with the only real option being a money date with Sonny Bill in another clash of the codes.

I’d watch another one at a pub but wouldn’t pay for it. If it’s 3 minute rounds I say Gallen could more significant damage. Hall no doubt has boxing skills and respect for him for fighting but I feel he was very tense and gassed several times. The ref was a huge annoyance - to stop and lecture fighters whilst the clock is ticking is aggravating for all concerned.

The sad part is , Good boxers have to hope they get on these shows to get a payday and all the money goes to the celebrity boxer , while the true hard working pro gets peanuts for his efforts , , regards the boxing walk in to 9 out of ten gyms and see better boxing with lads sparring .

It is sad from a boxing point of view but just the way things have gone here in Australia. The UFC has come in and attracted those casual sports fans who don't mind what sort of combat sports they watch, Australian boxing unfortunately has not produced any stars since Jeff Horn who can fill a decent sized arena.

What was the crowd like there last Friday night? Capacity of Margaret Court is 7,500 according to Wiki, can anyone give me an estimate of how many tickets they sold?

I was there and the ends of the stadium were blocked off. The rest was fully booked. Im no expert but I would say 3500 ish. But by the way, apart from the first fight it was a good solid night of boxing. Hall was lucky to get the draw from my perspective but it couldnt be classed as a robbery really as heland some beautiful punches in every round and that fight was better than most Heavyweight fights we see. Certainly better than Lucas Browne V Hopoate. It was a pleasure to see the Maloney twins. They are legit top 10 fighters. And I would pay to see them again. Problem is the size of the crowd. Should have been bigger. Especially with 50 dollar seats. Dont know if the Moloneys can sell out a stadium for a real world title. Which is sad. Hope Im wrong

You are spot on with regard to the Moloney brothers, both have decent KO ratio's but fighting guys of a similar level to them (around 5-15 in the boxrec rankings in their division) they will have more trouble getting a KO win. Even as a package at this point in their careers they won't be able to fill a decent sized venue without the help of other bigger names. Maybe a world title win will lift one of them to a higher level but in reality that would only happen if they were maneuvered into a fight for a world title against someone outside the top 5 of their divisions.
