Team GGG, be-it Golovkin's training team or business partners at Matchroom or DAZN, leaked the illness. If it truly didn't matter, no one would have told the media of Golovkin's alleged illness.

Remember what happened with AJ, he tried to praise Ruiz Jr., but his team were fabricating all sorts of excuses?
Maybe he was horribly ill. :maybe:

It came out Holyfield fought with the flu once. Should that have been kept under wraps?
It was hepatitis. Bowe 3

If they're smart they'll move GGG into some kind of high profile fight as soon as possible.
I don't think it'll be Canelo, Alvarez proved in the rematch he could handle GGG.

He should consider the victory an early Christmas Gift! Derevyanchenko won that fight and the judges should be required to watch it again and explain their scoring.

Flashes of “Whitaker vs Chavez.” A clear robbery. Can anyone explain why Golovkin hasn’t faced Charlo? Oh, I know why:
“Golovkin would get knocked out.” He’d never be able to withstand the body attack that Charlo would put on him.

Golovkin just like, Kovalev is weak in the body. When he’d cover his side with his elbow, a Charlo left-hook to the head would have a much more devastating effect than Derevyanchenko’s did. Followed by a barrage of other punches that would follow, Golovkin would fall asleep.

But ask him, and he’ll give you a variety of ridiculous reasons why he hasn’t
fought him. The boxing media shouldn’t even give this guy airtime until the words: “I’ll fight Charlo comes out of his mouth.”

No MW is knocking GGG out. That post is ridiculously biased for a "writer".

Why would you say something silly like that? Golovkin isn't weak to the body. Charlo had his hands full with Korobov, who was the only decent middleweight he has ever fought. He has about one impressive win in his entire career. He isn't in the same league as Golovkin or Derevyanchenko. No blown up junior middleweight is putting Golovkin to sleep, particularly not Jermall Charlo. You must trolling us

What fight did you watch? Golovkin landed more punches overall, more punches in 8 of 12 rounds, was much busier, threw almost 300 punches more than Alvarez. It wasn't much different from the first bout, though Alvarez put up a better fight. If my memory serves me correctly, of the 18 media outlets who covered the fight, not a single one scored it in Canelo's favor. If you say that you think Canelo won the second fight, I would disagree with you, most people would disagree with you but nobody would question your judgement. But when you say Canelo proved he could handle GGG to the point where you don't think Golovkin's handlers would put him in with Alvarez, well I would think you are the only person who holds such an opinion.

Yeah man. Derevyanchenko has about the most solid body attack currently going in the sport. GGG soaked up an absolutely perfectly set up liver shot. That's seen as a weakness? Fk'n comical. One of the toughest the sport's seen. Can barely even be phased.

He’s often ill when it’s a close fight/poor performance, really unlucky guy for that, some might think he’s just well on the slide.

He has often had poor performances? What are six or seven of them?

It's an excuse because they said it. Whether you're sick or not, you got in the ring. So shut up.

If you step in the ring. No excuses. You're ready or you're not.

Charlo and GGG ain't even in line to fight. Different belts, different factions. If anything you should be going on about Charlo -Canelo since Charlo was the mandatory until the franchise business

Charlo lost to Korobov, so he has zero good wins at MW.

There were signs of his illness before the fight, one of them - early closed weigh-in.

He got into the ring but didn't look like his normal self. Even his famous jab was lacking usual effectiveness. Illness and or injury is an explanation, but people who never fought in the ring can call that excuses.
