Or let Dev escape humiliation while still developing?
Regardless of the likely outcome, the kid has earned his shot and fans want to see the fight.

WBC is taking the piss here.

Canelo was bad enough, but given the money he generates, it is kind of understandable that they want to keep him sweet.

There is no such argument for Loma.
Amen but f**ck Canelo too. There should be no special rules to avoiding a mandatory.

F**k Canelo indeed, this franchise crap is just the latest in a long line of s**tty things his team have pulled that make me root for every opponent he faces.

it can only lead to more pain for boxing fans. Sometimes the only way a decent contender can get a star boxer to face him is by becoming a mandatory and know they have found a way around that? Nah man. We have to keep censuring this before it becomes the norm and the other belt organizations start to follow their lead.

Let's face it. It's sh*t on every level.

Even for boxing this takes the biscuit.

So doesn't this mean Lomachenko only has to fight Commey
But Commey has to beat both Lomachenko and Haney to become undisputed

It would be funny if Commey came out and challenged Haney to a unification match

I thought it was odd that they let Loma fight for a vacant title while he was already a beltholder, or is this done often?

If Loma drops down to 130 before fighting Tank or Haney, it will hurt his reputation, in my opinion. I hope he stays at 135. I'd still love to see him vs Mikey Garcia at 135 or 140 as well.
