Pascal lost every round to Browne where didn’t score a KD.

No, he clearly won the last round too, and remember Jack couldn't score any KDs. If Pascal only won 2 rounds it would've been 75-74 Browne

I rate this a good 50-50 fight. Obviously it’s gonna be a draw. I mean it is Badou Jack we’re talking about.

Yep, he won at least 3 rounds and dropped Browne on his butt 3 times and was beating him up at the end. Not bad for a guy who was said to be shot

He battered Elbiali too, think El was favoured in that one

Browne is solid. I think he overlooked pascal, fought a dumb fight and paid the price

Browne has a lot of personal problems too.

Anyways on this fight i think jack gets inside and works over Pascal

If Pascal wins does he deserve an honourable mention for fighter of the year? It would be a pair of widely considered upsets over top 10 lhws. Or would we keep not giving him credit for beating Browne

Jean Pascal seems to be going through a bit of a revival right now. How far it goes and how long it lasts remains to be seen. If he follows up his win over Browne with another over Badou, he will certainly have proven himself to be a player in the current mix of LH’s

Pascal is able to cause surprises at this point. Browne, Elbiali. And he performed well in the first fight with Kovalev.

He’s been in so many good fights - Froch, Diaconu twice, Kovalev 1, Yunieski Gonzalez - and is a warrior I admire a great deal. Liked him since he battered Ikeke as a prospect in the mid ‘00s.

He can be beaten soundly by someone with skills and resolve, admittedly.

Think he and Jack will blend together, engage and produce a really good light heavyweight battle. Jack is far more efficient but kind of a steady performer, too steady at times.

Just hoping they don’t clash heads.

All the fights you listed + prime Dawson, Hopkins x2. If I was Pascal, I'd aim for Jack's forehead with my punches. That scar is nasty, it would reopen up. But Pascal is more of a looper than a straight kind of puncher.

Badou Jack was nearly at a loss for words, but in a very good way.

The former two-division titlist had a do a double take while up on stage, prepared to discuss his upcoming bout versus interim light heavyweight title fight versus Canada’s Jean Pascal. The fight serves in supporting capacity to Gervonta Davis’ clash with Yuriorkis Gamboa (30-2, 18KOs) for a vacant lightweight title, live from State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia (Saturday, SHOWTIME, 9:00pm ET).

Their placement comes in stark contrast to the last time they served as chief support and main event on the same card, with Jack defending his 168-pound title in a 12-round draw versus James DeGale atop a Jan. 2017 Showtime card that saw Davis (22-0, 21KOs) win his first belt in a one-sided stoppage of then 130-pound titlist Jose Pedraza.

“Tank was on my undercard last time. Now I’m on his undercard,” noted Jack (22-2-3, 13KOs), based out of Las Vegas by way of Sweden. “I’m very proud of him. He’s already a superstar.”

Davis has since emerged as a two-time 130-pound titlist looking to add a third belt to his collection. Meanwhile, Jack continues to add to what is rapidly becoming one of the best résumés in boxing. This weekend’s clash with Pascal (34-6-1, 20KOs) marks his eighth straight versus an opponent who has held some form of a major title. He enters having not had his hand raised in victory since a 5th round knockout of Nathan Cleverly in Aug. 2017 to win a light heavyweight strap.

Since then has come a disputed draw with then-lineal light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson last May and a 12-round loss to Marcus Browne this past January. The latter bout remains best remembered for Jack fighting through a gruesome cut which ran along the length of his forehead and bled profusely for much of the second half of their fight.

Pascal went on to beat Browne one fight later, scoring three knockdowns en route to an upset technical decision win this past August.

In a sense, it gives Jack a second chance at a lasting impression. The former champ's place as a supporting player on a show where the star attraction used to serve as his co-star only adds to the determination to recapture past glory this weekend.

“I was kind of flat, regardless of the cut that night,” Jack admits of the lopsided loss which snapped an eight-fight unbeaten streak. “Saturday night, we will see. I feel good, I didn’t feel like this on that night.

“I’m feeling great. I’m 36 but feeling 26. I can’t wait until Saturday… and the NEW!”

Judge Judy Lederman scored it 114-112 for Jack, while Nelson Vasquez had it 114-112 for Pascal. Judge Barry Lindenam’s card of 114-112 landed in favor of Pascal to preserve his interim light heavyweight title reign.

Final punchstat numbers don’t always tell the final story, but would disagree with the defending titlist as did the vocal crowd of 14,129 on hand for the first championship-level card in Atlanta in more than 20 years. Compubox’s unofficial stats had Jack landing more total punches than Pascal (244 to 155) and at a higher connect percentage (39% to 28%).
