I had to Google this, but someone called
Len Wickwar compiled a record of 339-86-42, for a total of 467 fights.

That guy fought five times a month sometimes... crazy.
I do think that he is mentioned in a Guiness's recordbook for having the most fights.

Greb "only" had 119. Who has more than Pep?
Greb does for one. Newspaper decisions are still fights.
Billy Bird had 356 fights..

Several fighters had more than pep. Buck Smith may have. Greb just came to mind without having to look.

Wow! I don't think anyone could get a license to do that anymore.

Hopkins being about 48 and winning a bloody belt again. That was epic against Pascal.
Might had taken some sh*t.
Nao Ikeyama came close

You are joking, right?
She was allowed to compete for the vacant WBA world female featherweight title on her pro debut, against an opponent that had only previously competed in one bout, which was a four rounder.

Considering valuev was close, yes we will see that
He went 46-0 didn't he..
I think by time a boxer reaches 40-0, regardless of weight, they would get some sort of world title shot... or be in some dodgy mando position.. Then get found out at the top level..
Except maybe somebody like Nielsen, who didn't have any interest in fighting anyone under the age of 40-45 unless they were a bum

That's Women's boxing for ya. The 16-0 girl that Claressa Shields beat for her first title fought like she had 2 left feet, but somehow was 16-0

I do laugh at that Yuh also won the WBA-belt in the 154s at the sometime and keept the OPBF-belt... Haha! Makes no sense!
But a record, is a record

Len Wickwar had 470 career fights.
I always wonder how many more fights Young Stribling might've had if he had lived. He died at like 28 years old I think or something like that, and had already fought 251 bouts. Who knows how much more he would've fought over the next 5 to 10 years.

I think any record which involves having hundreds of fights to break.. boxing won’t see those kinds of numbers again.

Only these Thai boxers who have the odd 4 round bouts every other week.. But even then.. Not going to reach 100.
Which boxer in the modern era nearly reached 100 pro fights?
James Toney hit 92

Not anymore he's not, but he did fight Tito Trinidad, and Oscar De La Hoya among all of his fights, and had a lofty unbeaten record going into the Tito fight.
Don't know if he plans to fight again, but he did fight last year.

Held the IBF 154 pound title for a time apparently. I didn't realize.
