Considering my part of the world (Balkan, unfortunately) everyone would call Ali and Ward black. BTW, Ali had been extremely beloved, Tyson too. Some black fighter are/were very popular/beloved - Lewis, Holyfield, Frazier, Foreman.
As I know, nobody around me likes Mayweather or Ward. David Haye has been some kind of border-line (let us say than solid half of casual fans liked him).
