Power of itself is overrated.
If you got all the ATG heavies to line up and measure their "pure" one punch hitting power - a bit like those martial artists breaking blocks - it would be interesting, but not that relevant to the actual damage they can do in a real fight.
I'd fancy Deontay, though..,
In pure, wind up, and unleash your perfect one-shot-power, I think Wilder's skinny explosive elastic is just the thing ! I'm sure Wilder would beat Foreman's slower "thudding" power easily.
And that's why it's irrelevant - peak Foreman would walk through The Bronze Bomber him and snap him like a twig about 10 times before he could wind up one of his ridiculous telegraphed windmills.

Wilder is basically a CW knocking HW's out - that deserves different kind of respect - will be interesting to see what adjustments he makes on the weekend (pay special to his feet have looked at the build up videos and he looks like he actually trying to IQ)

boxing is not that simple. luis ortiz is decorated highly skilled heavyweight, skill wise way superior than wilder. why did wilder win. ortiz age and wilder punching power. so raw power alone is a huge advantage when you possess it.
the huge disadvantage of absence of punching power makes me think about paulie, poor paulie, i always found he was a very skilled boxer, but he just was a weak puncher, a paulie with mosley's punching power and paulie wouldve been an atg.
wilder has very poor skills, poor footwork, wide open when he punches, but he got atg punching power and see how far only raw power took him.

both are overrated. lewis might have more 1 punch ko power than both.
the breazale ko was wilders most powerful punch and breazale got up after 10, rahman, who looks to have stronger shoulder neck chin than breazale couldnt get up after several minutes laying on the ground than sitting on the stool after being kod by lewis with lewis best punch.
this also shows how weak heavyweights are in a p4p sense. these atg best heavyweight punchers land perfect shots like lewis on rahman or wilder on breazale and the opponents still are able to get up after 10 secondes. while when atg punchers from lower division land clean powerful shots julian jackson, GGG or pacquiao, than the opponents ishida, hatton etc stay on the ground for 2 minutes+.
Are you serious ?

No idea who hit the hardest. In a single shot I think it's open to debate.
If they ever fought it would likely be chin that would be the deciding factor and not power.

No he isn't, he weighs well over cw limit, and is pretty much ripped at that weight too.

People who voted for George forman are old farts who like to keep memories alive.
When they die, George reputation as harder puncher will be buried in grave alongside them

I think first of all you look at the quality of opponents that are getting bowled over , give me 10 grannys to belt or 10 hard men , and i know i'll score 10 out of 10 , for the grannys and probably 0 out of 10 for thr hard men .
Wilder up till now really has not met much stern opposition with the exception of a couple ,
Foreman , well look at who he stopped some really great fighters , who were tough guys .
Diference in Power ,, well Wilder he's a hit you its a crack and lights go out sort of puncher ,,, Big George well he's just heavy handed clubber who will hurt you with every punch and just beat you down .
In there heyday though , NO COMPARISON , Big George at his best was a monster who could punch through a brick wall . just systimaticly start at the top and punch out two thre , four bricks at a time ,, Wilder , well he would off got caught and hit back by the likes of Frazier , Norton , Ali .
To go against , Foreman in his prime , well you had to be something speciel , to go against Wilder in his prime , we don't really know because he's not really fought them up till now .

Deontay Wilder definitely has the hardest punching cross ever an 11/10 but Foremans punches were overall all powerful . Foreman had a more powerful uppercut and jab for sure. So I would say the posession of all time nuke punch is Wilders but an overall powerful arsenal is Foremans. New doesnt always mean better btw , Jack Dempseys front hook was better thn Wilders and he is dead.

For my money lewis' right cross was a much better and more reliable shot.

Wilder is certainly the more effective puncher.
He is faster, sharper, plus he carries his power late into fights.
First Foreman didn't have the stamina to knock people out late and second Foreman was so slow that you could see his punches coming from last year, although Michael Moorer might disagree with me.
He knocked out moorer is round 10 at what, 45? Obviously carried power late

I did allude to that by separating George into first and second Foreman, first being the 70s and second being the 90s.

From what I've read, George had a heavy clubbing type of punch. Wilder has a quick sharp punch. I'd assume Wilder generates a lot of his power with speed. George's were just battering rams that would destroy at any velocity. I'd say it's probably pretty difficult to say who is the better power puncher. Tyson is the only guy Deontay has not koed and he knocked him down 2wice. How can you really explain how on is better than the other when both had very similar outcomes when landing on their opponents.?

BTW, Ron Lyle and Ali said Shavers was the most powerful puncher they ever faced, not Big George.

the huge disadvantage of absence of punching power makes me think about paulie, poor paulie,
Malignaggi or Ayala??
