I think I remember teddy atlas being a closet Chris areola fan to the point he was shooting his bolt with every punch thrown in the two Stiverne fights and then when Stiverne ironed Arreola out Atlas fell silent like he was about to blow his own brains out.
I remember feeling the American commentary for Bute v Froch was similarly bias.
And as for Jim Watts commentary of Froch v Groves 1.

One of the most hilarious cases of commentator bias being turned on it's ear that I ever recall hearing is Herol Graham vs Julian Jackson.
The whole fight the British commentators are just sucking Graham's ass hard "We've been wanting a performance like this out of him"
"This is his night, and tonight Jackson has...so little in comparison to Graham"
Things like that and then when Jackson drops the hammer
"OH NO! That's what we were worried about!"
Classic every time.

Reg Gutteridge used to roll the " two falls and a submission " one out nearly every fight , got a bit lame in the end .

Jim Watt's, 'He's swallowed it Reg' - Benn v McClellan. Clearly he didn't know the what the consequences would be but after the way the fight had gone it was a very poor choice of words.

I remember Duke McKenzie once in the Sky studio was talking over some VT of De La Hoya and saying "he doesn't carry one punch power", whilst accompanying his words was footage of De La Hoya absolutely ironing out a bunch of guys with one shot.

Who was that prat that used to commentate on Eurosport?
I remember watching a fight once, which must've been in January, as he spent what felt like a round and a half thanking everybody he knew for getting him a Christmas card. Literally, I don't think he said anything about the boxing. It was just;
"I'd like to thank my brother for the card he got me. And my aunt Ethel. And that nice couple I met on holiday a few years ago, they still remember me. And my next door neighbours Paul and Elaine. That was quite a funny one."

While Steve Holdsworth got some stick, he was doing it live, on a shoe string budget, with no co commentator.
Usually he did a real good job with no support.
Holdsworth is one of the good ones, a bloke who fought too, he knows the psyche of a fighter.
