True, also fury is the only fighter that cares he has it. Most probably don't even know.

Even though Vitali was rated 2nd at the time, the brothers were never going to fight.
And that exactly was a problem preventing Wlad from starting a new lineage.
Enlightened-One wrote: ↑31 Jan 2020, 12:09
Even if you disagree with Wladimir earning his lineal championship in this manner, he definitely earned it when he beat Kubrat Pulev, since it was the top-two heavyweights facing each other, after Vitali had retired.
In which delusional world was Pulev the second best HW? Also, what does it have to do with lineage anyway.
Enlightened-One wrote: ↑31 Jan 2020, 12:09
The titles don’t have to be unified for the vacant lineal championship to be fought for, since all it requires is the two highest-rated fighters to compete against each other.
Where is "all it requires" condition coming from? There are no official rules for starting a lineage. Becoming an undisputed champion certainly achieves that. Otherwise, it is somebody's personal opinion.

The biggest argument against imo is that didn't he say he retired? That should end any status
Lineal is pretty lol too, at least when ppl just cling to it . I mean, it's the only 'title' with 0 oblgations

And even more pertinent, 0 earning potential.

Yes, fury was lineal champ when he beat wlad.
Aj then beat Klitschko to become no.1 , but wasn't undisputed because Wilder was around.
Fury then comes back fat, and is unlucky to only get a draw v Wilder.
Aj takes a loss, and now fury & Wilder are 1 & 2 & fighting for the ring title.
So yes, fury is lineal champ.

I don’t what to say. Pulev was rated 2nd at heavyweight by The RING and other media outlets when he faced Wladimir, who was ranked 1st.
Also, please research the justification for Wladimir gaining the lineal championship when he beat Chagaev.
I haven’t expressed a personal opinion, because all I did was convey real world facts.
Instead of telling me I’m WRONG and accusing me of being a liar, do some research.

Nope, as he was suspendend and out for two years and a half. However, he is still the most tricky guy to beat in the heavy division.

Fury has the best case to be considered lineal.
People latching into the 'retirement' are just clutching at straws.
But in reality the lineal championship hasn't meant much for about 50 years.
Although I'd rather scrap all the belts and get back to a lineal system

Ha, that's another thing with lineal, take all the drugs you want and even get caught for it
It won't matter if you announce your retirement, or if you cheat with PEDs and get caught, or if you spend like 3 years out after popping hot and saying your retired, STILL CHAMP, at least if you're big Tys

Let's see
-Tests positive for PEDs
-Publically announces his retirement
-Spends like 3 years inactive
-Hasn't beat a legit contender or champ in 5 years
