Fury is actually good. Way to take that from him. You awful fans are a microcosm of why boxing sucks ass now. We used to recruit people to watch, that speech wouldn't do it. Wilder is a limited guy with a ton of heart and a big right.
Please reply using legible english. Yes Fury is great unfortunately wilder isn't.
Sorry sweetheart, I can't dumb that down any further. :TU:

I've said this many times, but Emmanuel Steward's excuse for Hearns's defeat to Hagler was the most pathetically laughable excuse (someone massaged Tommy's legs) I'd ever heard until last Sunday.

Deontay Wilder has now surpassed it and it's an excuse that will possibly never be topped.

Of course the excuse is dumb, but what's he gonna do? Go into the rematch thinking he got his ass handed to him on his best day?

Wishful thinking on your part. Wilder has tremendous heart and a tremendous punch. Skill wise he is limited, but Wilder has the chance to KO anyone including Fury and AJ.

40 lbs to a man 230 is nothing. Because he lost to Fury does not at all diminish his accomplishments. Fury is by far the best Heavy, and I think Wider is #2. Being angry at Breland is more disturbing to me than that lame azz excuse. I hope he reconsiders his rematch, it could ruin him as a fighter.

I kind of get itchy socks, that's really annoying. Wilder's excuse is the worst I've heard but that doesn't mean he can't come back.

Foreman had some whoppers (no pun intended) for excuses after Zaire but he certainly won some big fights after that.

Fury took a long time to get in the ring. Wilder had to have that stupid outfit on while that was going on. It was so bulky I would bet a million dollars he was not staying warmed up and throwing punches while back in the dressing room during Fury's walkout. Then he does his long slow walk to the ring with the rapper who sucked. While Wilder was not throwing punches for a long time, Fury was able to move around the ring and throw punches staying / getting warmed up as Wilder came in the ring and then had to take some time to get the stupid outfit off. All the while Fury is moving around.
Earlier in the night on Saturday, I had a boxer in a golden glove tournament. Our fight was like 12th on the card but there were walkovers and boxers that didn't show. I check and find out, we are now the 5th fight. I got my guy ready and good and warmed up. The other coach has no clue their fight is moved up. All of sudden they find out their guy is up next, they rush him over to get gloves on and he has to get in the ring right away. No warm up. I tell my boxer to jump on him, he's not ready and that's what we did and my guy stops him in the first round.
Wilder is a joke saying the 40 lb outfit took his legs. He's 230 lbs. Military members often carry way more than 40 lb packs as they do what they do. As for firing Mark Breland, I could see that for only one reason which was not for throwing the towel in. He saved Wilder's life but he never made Wilder better with his fundamentals which have sucked since his amateur days. Maybe working with a prima dona pro...Wilder didn't want to work on fundamentals but he's a one trick pony and that's his right hand. He has no defense or technique on movement or just working the basics. I don't know the background of the white guy in the corner, Jay something but he probably should be the one to go.
Props to Fury to make the adjustments to easily win the fight.

Great post!

I can remember the days when Mike Tyson would enter the ring focussed like Jack Dempsey on the prowl - ready to strike from the bell.

Anyway, rather disturbingly it looks as if Deontay Wilder's still needs more time to get over his shock.

First the suit fiasco, and now this nonsense about never being allowed to be rescued in the ring.

Come on Deontay, be prepared to listen.

Messianic belief can be a great thing but a little knowledge from the wise won't hurt either.

I don't recall the itch being the problem, pretty sure they affected his power.

Someone had mentioned itchy socks as a "worst excuse." May have been talking about Pacquio or someone else.

Candy takes a fighter's shtick very seriously.

Fighter, not plural. It was definitely Manny, I just think it was the sock inhibition g his power instead of itching. Don't remember for sure, doesn't matter. All of the excuses mean the same, rebuilding.

there were excuses for Morales 1 too, weren't there, there was the cut for one and I'm sure something else too. maybe socks there too. they're a constant source of problems, socks.

I’m pretty sure it was not having his β€˜clitoris’ punchers gloves.

Juan Manuel Lopez blaming referee Roberto Ramirez Sr's gambling issues as the reason he got KOed by Salido is pretty high up there in the worst excuse category.

Yeah it’s the mark of a champion how you learn from a loss and come back, Lewis and Wlad did it successfully, I’ll need to see AJ again to be convinced that no mental scars remain, Tyson was still a force after Douglas but completely lost his form.

Wilder really has set the new benchmark. It has been pathetic how many ludicrous excuses he's making after he got battered from pillar to post every second of the fight.
