That is quite a repetive mantra that has no real substance.
It is obviously just something he is trying to drill into his own head to regain a bit of self belief.
Everyone handles defeat differently. AJ congratulated his opponent, accepted he needed to make changes and did so to great effect.
Wilder blamed everyone and everything else and is now claiming to still be king. If that is what he feels he needs to do then good luck to him.
I'm not sure it will bare any fruit in the long run, but who knows
AJ was humble
We may mock, but the fact is that his humble 'persona' (whether genuine or not) allowed him to take defeat in his stride.
Wilder's constant shooting off at the mouth has left him in a position where he can't really accept the defeat and thus will likely learn nothing from it.

Wilder’s deluded -
he won just two rounds out of 19 against Fury, including landing his best punches and he got beat. He’s delusional if he thinks he can improve on that.
A good point. It's even sorta ridiculous to realize it, but Wilder really has done nothing impressive in 19 rounds, except landing his right hands well for two times.

Oh indeed I suspect there’s at least an element of truth in what you say

Anyone else getting a bit of an Anthony Small feeling about him.

I made a thread about Charles Martin's instagram following the AJ loss where he was still walking about with his belt and appeared mentally ill, spouting messianic rhetoric just like Wilder. It was called "I'mgod" or something like that. It was both funny and troubling. At least nobody really noticed it, and he was never really allowed time to consider himself anything all that special.
Fury's beating of Wilder has been total: he destroyed him physically but smashed him mentally. If the rematch clause is executed, this could be an interesting few months.
But I have to admit that I'm starting to feel a bit sorry for the bloke.

Wilder was totally beaten at his own game. He was pushed back and given a hiding. When a man does you at your own game it's difficult to accept. I can see him retiring if he loses to Fury again.

Small's a jihadist, though. Isn't Deontay some sort of Southern Christian type?
If you said that Wilder's a black supremacist and thinks he's on some mission from God as a kind of supernatural warrior knight to lead his people to freedom, then I'd say you might be on to something.
What's interesting is that everybody is uniting in saying he's a dummy, and Fury (who previously had the. reputation as some sort of mad bigot) has actually rebuilt his image on bringing people together and ignoring race. I used to dislike him because of some of the things he said, but the American SJW movement is horribly divisive and has created all sorts of tensions. Mad that a big fat Gypsy from Morcombe who likes putting the bins out has the whole Mayweather gym united in saying Wilder's a bellend for his excuses and Fury is the best in the world. That's a good thing. Everybody's so uptight about this: you can see certain pundits almost choking on the truth that they finally have to give credit.
We'll see, but personally I don't think any kind of race supremacy is helpful or good. He's still talking about "we" and his "people" when it's not your "people" that took the L, Deontay: it's you.

He’s been talkng this kind of shit for ages. I’ve seen and heard a few things about his Kingship and all that. That’s why he was so big on his costume with the crowns and jewels, he really believes he is a king.

Also, he keeps on about wanting ‘a body’ on his record so he’s want to kill someone in the ring, that might be the war he’s drooling on about.

The way he’s going he might end up the body on his record.

To be fair to Martin, he looks to have turned a corner both mentally and careerwise. He is only one good win away from another title shot.
I hope Wilder can bounce back too.
Despite his big mouth antics, I get the impression that he is actually a decent bloke away from the camera. He definitely still has a lot to offer the division, provided he can get his head together.

Dear Lord! Someone needs a CAT scan. Doesn't sound like he's dealing with this very well. Someone close should've recommended laying low for a bit before embarking on a damage control mission like this. Geez!

That's a message from Wilder to Wilder. I don't think he's coping very well and this is part of a downward spiral that could end up with a breakdown.
I don't think there will be another fight with Fury any time soon.
Has to be hard though. He must have thought he unbeatable the way he bulldozing everyone and then to loose the way he did.
If he thought he was unbeatable, he would have fought Wlad when he had the chance (2 years of chances) and AJ (3 years of chances) and what about Whyte?

It must be hard for him to accept he isn't unbeaten anymore - it must be hard for anyone to take that kind of beating whereas before - he was an unbeatable badass - I wouldn't know what that was like because I have never had an undefeated record in my life - even from the day I was born
Is that when the nurses gathered around, and gazed in wide wonder at the joy they had found?
Until the head nurse spoke up, and said " Leave this one alone"
Because she could tell right away, you were bad to the bone?

Wilder probably did think he was unbeatable. His team obviously knew a lot better. Has there ever been a more protected long-reigning HW champion?

Hmm. In the undercard fight with Washington neither of them looked like they wanted to be there, and both of them just looked relieved when the fight was over. I get what you mean, but another title shot for Martin just means another loss.

Wilder got beat but he has two things going for him
1) the right hand
2) a huge HEART
You've forgotten his 40lbs body suit with red glowing eyes and a pack of 6 foot inch nails , so I make that 4
