Good fight, both are probably top ten Heavies and sit in that pack just outside of the top three guys, although I’d say there’s a big gap between the top three and the rest.
It’s not a PPV in any way shape or form for me but again it doesn’t matter what my opinion is really. The buy rate will show whether it is or not.
Must be galling if you’re a real elite level fighter at a lighter weight seeing a comparatively limited guy in Whyte pick up millions for fighting a 40 year old but the big guys have always pulled in the money. Shame though - how much better a fighter has a Roman Gonzalez been than Whyte, although he’ll have earned a fortune more! It’s an upside down sport at times

Likewise for me mate. Taylor might be from the wrong side to Auld Reekie but he’s a class fighter and we’re lucky to have a true No1 in his division from our country. Lee McGregor, Sunny Edwards and Nathan Gorman all on the undercard as well and a wee bit of a step up for Troy Williamson. Hopefully Lee’s in a decent fight, kid needs to stay active

For Whyte, it's a case of here we go again !
It still seems incredible Whyte keeps beating contender after contender and hasn't had his title shot. It beggars belief, even in this day and age.
Another place, another time and he could conceivably have been matched for a vacant world title against some of his opponents, from the first Derek Chisora fight onwards, and have made 4 or 5 defenses. There's been plenty worse world title challengers than some of the guys he's beaten.
When you think of the amount of boxers plucked from obscurity to fight for a world title shot, Whyte has been treated so poorly.
Anyway, this should be a real bruiser of a fight and the silver lining for Whyte is at least he's been paid well for his fights.

But who writes these pressers? Povetkin’s KO win over Huck? Huck extended him to a thrilling and controversial decision win.

Definitely. I just think, there’s one reason why his team aren’t hyping him as “the British Sonny Liston.” He sometimes shoots himself in the foot. Those dire fights with Wach & Allen, for instance. The pair of PED controversies. The negativity and whining, the sense of entitlement. And, his face just doesn’t fit. He’s the malcontent, angry young man type.
But he’s a very deserving contender, has been in GREAT fights, takes risks and would give any champ a hard night. If he’s fighting someone good, I’ll watch it.

Aye mate. Slated Miller for failing before AJ and always uses Povetkin nowadays. Whyte has a sketchy past. Used Ortiz as well. Probably loads more but my brain is fried the day
