If it's easy to get it for free people will still find a free stream
I'm not so sure, lots of people are pretty clueless about these things. If its priced right I think more people would want to be able to watch on a big TV with no buffering, no dropped connection, have the ability to pause, record etc and have a decent picture and sound. Of course plenty will be happy with streaming too but overpricing these fights just forces people to look elsewhere.

They should trial an early buyer for PPV, book it early and get it for £9.99, leave it to the last week or so and pay full whack, I bet they would get much higher figures.
See this is what they should trial at least.

Dubois vs. Joyce would be the perfect event to start with.
Its not a PPV fight at any price

I agree it's not a ppv fight at all. But fact is, it's going to be.

If i was a bigwig looking at these numbers and even for a minuite thought them to be evenly halfway true ,,, I would be getting my staff together and sacking people , asking HOW THE FOOK could they allow things to get so bad , that 10-20 MILLION PEOPLE , would risk getting a dodgy , stream , rather than pay for the biggest fight in the last decade ,

I f i was in charge heads would roll

On the Costello and Bunce Podcast I think I heard that the TV companies needed 1.2 million buys just to break even.

That's too big a margin for me to even contemplate any accuracy.
Spot on. It's just a made up story.

I gave this one bit of thought...

I almost never buy PPV fights.

Main reason is they are way too expensive. I got too many uses for my hard earned cash.

I was thinking about how much I would be ready to pay.

For your run of the mill fights... Volontary defenses and other miss matches. Like Wlad vs Pianeta. AJ vs Breazeale. DDD vs Fujimoto. Wilder vs bum of the month. I would pay 5$. For good quality broadcast this would be reasonable in my mind.

For the regular good fights like Whyte vs Parker. AJ vs Martin. Helenius vs Kownacki. Fury vs Chisora. Wilder vs Stiverne 1. I would pay 10$ and be happy about it.

For the super fights like Wlad vs AJ. Aj vs Ruiz 2. Fury vs Wilder and so on I would pay 20$.

With these prizes I would watch and pay for many many fights.

Same. I set my alarm and listened to it live on the radio, then I checked YouTube a few hours later when I got up and full fight was on there in HD so I watched it all straightaway. Saved myself 25 quid and don’t consider that I missed out at all, happy days.
This is what I did too. You can fill your boots with free content (Costello/Bunce and Showtime podcasts are brilliant) then listen on the radio. I wasn't expecting it to be on YT but checked and it was there in full, perfect quality.

I won't pay for PPV unless its a mega fight like Fury v Joshua.

Laughable numbers. There might not have been 20 million people that knew it was happening. I got lucky on this one, bought it but there was an issue with my cable provider and streamed it. I was sick as hell, fell asleep in the 5th.
