Simple? Which other featherweight champion does Hearn promote?
Yeah, simple probably isn’t accurate but Shakur Stevenson is with Top Rank and Eddie does do good, regular business with Arum.
Perhaps Eddie does line up Warrington-Galahad 2 but I think Eddie knows it would be a tough sell as a headliner. And Warrington must be on a decent contract having just resigned with Matchroom. Surely he’ll be expecting large purses and I’m not sure Warrington-Galahad 2 does good financial business.
Apparently a deal is close for a Warrington vs Xu unification when boxing comes back. Xu will be made full WBA champion when Tank vs Santa Cruz gets made
Worth watching what Russell Jr does now that Tank vs Santa Cruz is going to happen, previously hes said he'll move to 135 if he doesnt get a big fight next. Galahad would fight for the vacant WBC, going off the rankings if this happened. Another possibility is that Russell Jr has previously issued a "come and get me" to Hearn, Hearn said he wasnt really interested because of the inactivity, but now it could solve problems. Do Russell Jr vs Galahad and Warrington vs Xu, winners fight after.
Re: Kid Galahad will not step aside for Warrington
100% correct. The result was iffy, there was an appeal......it was accepted. barry was put into a final eliminator and won it. simples.
If the result was iffy warrington wud of been ordered into a immediate rematch. Not kid getting a final eliminator. Its was a very close fight but no robbery
Im not telling you what i think happened, Im telling you what actually happened.

If so why wasnt a immediate rematch with warrington ordered. Instead off a final eliminator. The ibf must of have seen it as a close fight but no disagreement with the outcome. but think kid did well enough to possibly earn another shot.

Interesting.
I thought Russell Jr was heralding in a new (higher) rate of activity for this year because he was signing with Hearn.
Maybe he said that to make himself more signable. Anyway, this vrius will give him an understandable reason for not fighting for a while.
Re: Kid Galahad will not step aside for Warrington
He may do if Eddie digs deep. I suppose time will tell.
Do you think Eddie's going to dig deep for Kid G??
Probably not, but I just don’t see Eddie going for Warrington-Galahad 2 unless he’s desperate.
Does he seem particularly keen here? Not one bit nor Warrington. Heavy investment in Warrington means Galahad is now playing second fiddle at Matchroom.

Obviously Warrington is the priority and Barry an unmarketable third wheel, though perhaps jerking it to the tune of 'Fast Car Eddie; and sucking Ingles Pringles from Barry's bum in a dank corner of the Ingle Gym may cause someone to think otherwise

Tank has been charged with assault.
The world is almost in lockdown but when boxing resumes the IBF mandatory will be about due.

I could see Warrington vacating if he can get a title shot elsewhere. Galahad was so appalling to watch in their first fight that I just can’t see money being splashed on v2. I can see Galahad picking up a vacant title and getting absolute peanuts defending it Witter style at this rate

something like that but i dont know for sure. i just know that an appeal was raised and the IBF recognised at least some of its validity

Warrington was hardly 'viewer friendly' in the first encounter. He could not hit Barry with a handful of rice.

Fast car will build it as a grudge match and sell out Elland road no problem then Galahad will beat Warrington much easier than last time

Or he could earn a fortune fighting in Saudi.
Or he could earn lots fighting in the States on DAZN.

Maybe Edster was so moved by that amazing love song of the lord of the sheffield bois that he'll find some judges who look more favorably on hugging this time
Re: Kid Galahad will not step aside for Warrington
Please educate me on what links he has with the Houthi insurgency.
No idea, I didn't know his origin until Ruthless said he was from Yemen(who are at war with Saudi)
However I think it would be a generalisation to believe the Saudi's would invest big in any random Middle Eastern.
Also in terms of Daz, while it would be possible for him to be bottom of the bill, there is no fortune to be made there.

He says he’s from Yemen. They’re hated in Saudi.
