Damn ! :( I always referred to their rankings. No website that does rankings is perfect, but I found boxing monthlys to be the best by far with no bias

Very sad news.

I am looking to make a bulk purchase of copies for my collection - interested in issues from October 2009 to August 2015...

If any long time subscribers on here are interested in selling, please send me a private message.

Has there been an official reason for the closure or is it all just assumptions?

havent heard anything and when I rang kelsey subscriptions up they didnt know about it. be interesting what they say as they have only had it two years and paid a lot for it.

as soon as they bought BN they killed off BM, really poor move from them and doesnt inspire confidence in what they're going to with BN.

BM was a real hardcore boxing magazine, always featuring proper fights/fighters from around the world. i thought it had more chance of surviving than BN as it was out of the news cycle and could take a wider view.

When Boxing Monthly managed its stock of back issues they went right back to 2002. As soon as the stock was transferred to Kelsey Media 10 years of them mysteriously vanished. The oldest back issues now only go back to 2012. This happened overnight.

What happened to 10 years worth of BM? Did they get slung on a tip?

Gutted, thought when they went to Kelsey media it was a good sign and the subscription price went down. I’ve always favoured bm over bn as altho it a month behind, ami just find it offers better stories with the fighters, altho bn has improved lately under Matt Christie. With Kelsey media purchasing bn, surely there was an option of cost cutting with bringing both magazines under 1 editorial team. Graham Houston never really wanted to take over as editor of bm after the sad passing of Glyn Leach but I felt he did a good job with the magazine. Kelsey media are still radio silence about the decision.

This is what happens when a business doesn't adapt. BN had great journalists and a lot of respect. It was time to start a youtube channel a long time ago which I don't believe ever happened. Great things could have been done but it is a waste in the end. It was madness not to adapt in some way. Their website looked like it was designed by a secondary school student.

Still gutted about this. It’s a very big loss for boxing IMO.
