I'd say, Povetkin fight is the dirtiest Wlad's performance. It's really clinching all night long. But Wlad wasn't always like that in contrast to Johnny.

John Ruiz was the worst champ ever. I don't know who he was blowing but he got
way more shots than he deserved and he should have been DQd many times.
Valuev's only thing was being 7 foot. No power, movement etc. He did pretty good with that.
Haye was a great Cruiser with a questionable chin. Period.
Lennox fought two guys that were afraid to fight and one guy who wouldn't accept that he lost.
I didn't like Byrd either but he was slick as snot on a doorknob.
And while Fury boring boxed a couple guys to a win. He beat the crap out of Wilder so give him a break.

I agree on every John Ruiz bout, because they all were hugging contests, that was clearly an excessive holing for Ruiz in every damn case. That's a violation of boxing rules. 2. Ruiz-Johnson - foulish hugging by Ruiz all the fight long, but eventually Johnson was DQed. Yes, fairly, but just Ruiz was unfairly not DQed earlier.
3. Lewis-McCall II - McCall refused to fight. It would be better for him if he just quitted, but he provided that bizarre surviving performance.
4. Ruiz-Holyfield III - again foulish hugging by Ruiz, awarding a draw for him. And no one needed this bout because of the fact that there already were two boring hugging contests of them.
5. Ruiz-Golota - trademark foulish hugging by Ruiz and a robbery.
6. Ruiz-Rahman - the same, although it's not a clear robbery, a win could be given to anyone here. There was just too much hugging and almost no boxing. Initiated by we know who.
7. Ruiz-Valuev I - The same, but surprisingly Ruiz finally looked clearly more convincing, than his opponent, but Valuev was ironically awarded a win.
8. Ruiz-Valuev II - almost a repetition of their first bout.
9. Page-Coetzee - Coetzee KOed long after the bell.
10. Valuev-Holyfield - an eventless bout and a robbery.

P.S. That's why I consider Ruiz the most shameful champ ever. Not literally the worst, but the most shameful. Valuev is about the same. A couple of the dirtiest spots on the history of boxing.

Of course, Vitaliy Klitschko V.S. Kevin Johnson At that time, a whole caste of jelly-like boxers appeared, such as this S. Johnson and Chris Byrd - they themselves can’t get in and it’s hard to get into them, as a result of which instead of boxing they get sticky fuss, alas ... well here I I can not say anything about Klitschko. I understand everything, his way of fighting is successful, but tiresome in terms of entertainment.

Very silly indeed. Does he even realize that boxing is about using brains as well as brawn, the art of hitting without getting hit? There is nothing cowardly or shameful about boxing on the backfoot against someone who is more powerful than you are and it's ignorance like that makes me sometimes question why I bother to come on here. Yeah, I mean boring though he was. Ruiz is the sports ultimate overachiever in a way, because he's mediocre as all hell, but he figured out a way to make almost every fight he was ever in ugly, and make that work to his advantage.

He came to a long time at the top with the help of currupt judging and refereeing. In the comparably weak era also. Nothing truly impressive here. The HW division of those times lost the audience much because of all those Ruizes and Valuevs. That's a shame.
