Re: Greastest slow fighters

Definitely a difficult question. When I first read about Gomez in the Ring during his prime, it was difficult to see his fights, when I finally did I was struck by how ‘slow’ he looked. Compared to the guys at his weight I was watching, like Hamed, Kevin Kelly and then Manny etc. I checked his highlight reel just before posting and I still see him being slow, very accurate, aggressive powerful but compared to other greats of his weight I liked he looked slow. Especially in the Sanchez fight.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑09 May 2020, 07:28It's a tough question, not many great fighters were slow. Overachievers that were really good inspire of being slow is an easier question to answer. I wouldn't categorize anyone listed here as slow, slower than Ali for sure. Like arguello for instance, his feet were on the slow side, as in his only weakness, but he didn't have slow hands at all.
