Canelo learned from Mayweather loss how to be top boxer and rich man. Meanwhile, guys like Andrade and Charlo collecting pennies and maintaining their undefeated records.
Daniel Jacobs changed his style after KO loss from Pirog, becoming more tough and physical, it helped him a lot.
Vasyl Lomachenko learned from Salido fight a lot.
These coming to my mind
great call ,very true about vasyl.i remeber that everyone was expecting him to wipe the floor with salido or look class bashing him , well it never happened , but what a great learning fight ,learnt to deal with pressure of being big favourite and not delivering and if he never lost that fight i dont think he would be the fighter he is today
Still the best fighter he's fought.

Not the mash up you'd expect, but salido exhibited a ton of skill his first step up with Marquez. Well past his best with loma and while it was very impressive for a 2nd fight if he was the god many on here make him out to be he would have torched Orlando like Garcia did.

Macklin vs Moore Is another
for who ?
Genuinely surprised the question needs to be asked, given Macklin is on the record himself saying it was. He went all guns blazing in that fight against Moore, with no sense of pacing, and his subsequent showings against the likes of Sturm showed he had learnt and adjusted accordingly.
To say that fight ruined both of them is crazy, really surprised to hear you say that Coco.

Could you count Whyte - Joshua?
That’s the first time Joshua was extended so it’s definitely a learning fight for him yes.

Pretty much every Josh Taylor fight, thought he got matched beautifully. OD a puncher, Baranchyk a proper tough man, Miguel Vazquez very negative and mobile. All the while he was improving a ton each fight and not taking too many staybusy fights.

John John Molina versus Victor Aponte..
Aponte was my stablemate in Caguas, Puerto Rico but no one really took him seriously. He wasn't even very friendly tbh. He was 3-6 coming into this bout, but gave the 13-0 Molina all he could handle before Molina won by tenth round knockout.
They later rematched with Molina winning in the fourth round by tko. Molina of course was a multiple time world champion who should perhaps be in the IBHOF (and was robbed vs Oscar De La Hoya)

Very good call. Solid amateur pedigree, level of competition was increasing with every fight. Fight against Davies decides who is world class and who is limited. After 16 fights, i am considering him as top 10 p4p today based on skill and resume.

There wasn’t too much to do domestically, so they done well getting big international names over like Postol and Martin. He made his debut in Texas, which will have done a lot to get used to pressures and travelling and making weight.

Ray robinson should have been josh kellys. Lets hope he has learnt from it. I'm fairly doubtful.

John Ryder v Khomitski
Ryder also learned against Callum Smith that if your face dont fit you ain't getting the decision

Everyone who fought khomitski learned something, many that boxing wasn’t for them. Hard as nails!

Those are good calls. Groves had a decent one against Adamu too IIRC
Groves had a good one in the US. Can’t remember the opponent off the top of my head but very tall and long. Groves had to work on him before he stopped him. Think the fight was at the HP pavilion which is an odd thing to remember about a fight,
Francisco Sierra

Funnily enough one of Khomitski's losses was to Avtandil Khurtsidze who was meant to fight BJS but got convicted as part of a Georgian crime syndicate in New York. He also looked like a pit bull. Tough fight that one, I imagine.

Kohmitski found out Buglioni and Etches.
Ryder toughed it out against the hard nut and earned his corn that night.
The gorilla should be World Champ now.

Sugar Gibiliru was a good learning fight for everyone.
On paper his record looked like a journeyman but he went on to win a British title.
He had two very good learning fights for Floyd Havard.
