I always found HBO's team terrible, Merchant was so negative but Lampley? F*ck me could that man talk utter shite, remember him losing it during a Pacquio fight? "BANG BANG BANG BANG"

The bang bang was bad but Lampley was generally okay I thought, sounded 'classy' and 'professional'. Don't think he was any worse than some of the boring but worshipped monotoners
Just don't leave him alone with his wife

Nobody can out crap teddy Atlas.
4 - Jim Watt - yes, he's not exempt - strange score card of a David Burke EBU fight and then claiming he's scoring it as an Italian official - a rare off night for Jim.
Didn't Watt also score Haye/Valuev as a German official or so.ething similar?

Actually I did as well, well I had 2 cards. I thought Haye had it by 2 but I thought the judges would score it to Valuev

Larry Merchant is terrible, always has been. Why is he even connected to boxing ? His knowledge is poor and predictions based on like and dislike. The man's a c#nt !

Well fair play to you if you can stand listening to him for more than 30 seconds. He drives me bonkers.

Lampley was the one who irked me.

Merchant could be funny at times, he obviously didn't seem to give a f@ck about offending ppl and seemed like he did a few commentaries boozed up. He usually just interjected here and there and didnt try to take over the show and you didnt have to listen to him non stop

Duke McKenzie, waxed lyrical about Lucian Bute as if he was the second coming of Christ, saying how he was all wrong for Froch etc.

McKenzie's scoring of fights was hilariously terrible.
Reg Gutteridge. Kent Walton was a good commentator though for the wrestling.
I like Reg a lot. But he used to overuse this line . I prefer jim wattβs βbang on the chenβ
I used to like when Jim used to say: "That was a stupid thing he did.." he got a bit of stick for Benn vs McClellan if I recall, he said something like: "Benn punched the life out of him".

A lot of people jump on Jim Watt for his comments in the Benn-McClellan bout but he wasn't to know was he? I remember watching it as an 11 year old thinking myself that McClellans arse had gone and he'd quit, I never went to bed that night thinking this guys life is going to be severely changed by the time I get up in the morning. To me and possibly countless others on that night he did quit because we didn't have the benefit of hindsight on the night.

Didnβt Frank Maloney announce that Lou Duva was Dead during the Bowe-Golota brawl.
I tend to recall the beginning of the Setanta Skelton-Chagaev broadcast. They got Maloney in with his HW experience.
Bunce- What do you think about this Heavyweight title fight for a Brit Frank
Frank- Itβs an awful fight Steve
Steve- Lets go to a break.
