I thought it was fair this time, so did Persoon incidentally.

Taylor was beaten to the punch a lot in the first fight, and I had her losing.
Taylor changed her tactics in the rematch and got out worked in a lot of rounds, I had her losing again.
I like Katie and they were both very good fights, but I do think Persoon won both fights. Not by more than a couple of rounds though, so neither were robberies.

It’s the fact that she didn’t win a single card..

Yeah, Persoon has every right to feel skiffed.
She took the loss like a champ last night, probably because she knew she would need a KO to have any chance of winning and was resigned to a UD loss when she heard the final bell even though she did more than enough to win.

She will be pissed off though, I dare say there will be plenty of excessive beatdown dished out to small time crooks in the alleyways of Brussels over the next few weeks.

I think the boxing style as a lot to do with it tbf. Taylor got a very classic boxing style. Persoon is very ankward and even dirty at times and makes up for it by her punching power but it wasn't enough to win either fight imo. Taylor was just so much proper and cleaner in everything she did. I think that's the way judges saw it too. You know it's not only about who lands the most punches. There's a lot of others factors than can be used to score a fight too, the cleanliness of the punches and the beauty of the style being a couple of them.
