Guys, he's had a worthwhile career but i think it is time for us to accept the inevitable.

Sometimes a dude just goes on too long, even after it's become apparent he no longer has what it takes.

You start to notice the drop-off in production and quality, mistakes are made that wouldn't have been made before. He lacks the timing and distancing to open exchanges sharply, and he lacks the stamina to sustain long exchanges where previously they were his forte.

Ultimately you have to ask yourself, after taking so much punishment over a long career, how can we expect him to carry on like this?

It gets to a point where health concerns, and even mental health concerns, must be taken into consideration.

I think we have to bear some responsibility ourselves; if we keep asking the man to keep coming back to the well, aren't we complicit in his ever-degenerating condition?

Face facts, guys: EO is a shot poster.

He's taken too many beatings, for too long. His skills (never really his strong point as he was known as a 'volume poster') have deteriorated, and as his post resistance has gradually ebbed away all he's left with is that stubborn refusal to accept his own mortality and an instinctive desire to walk towards the fire like he was once coached by Teddy Atlas and some weird mid-fight analogy stuick in his mind. Even more sad to contemplate that it was his own style of reckless abandonment, always willing to take 9 shots just to bounce a couple of his opponents' solid guard, that has lead to his premature decline. It's a tendency common in prize-posters, but no less sad to see, EO stumbling on his heels across the forum like Rocky Lockridge circa 2018, occasionally giving vent to a CTE-ravaged opinion and barely able to perform the simple forum-equivalent task of tying his own shoelaces.

Ultimately, that high-risk, high-output style is always the one that ages posters most quickly, 'volume posters' have shorter peaks it's just a fact of life, so it's no surprise that EO is lurching across the forum like the forum equivalent of a stumblebum.

I just ask for some compassion and understanding, in what will clearly be a very difficult time of transition for him.
