The point is that Spud is suggesting that he knows, taps nose, but won't say.
Spud has a lot of form for this
Its a boxing forum open to the public. Not calling the man out bit if he knows then maybe a lot more folk know. Maybe they just didnt get on and it was a parting of the ways? It probably isnt that important to know now anyway. Maybe when the books come out you will see 2 sides.
Well don't give the I know what happened, taps nose, and not say anything!
As an ex pro who has been round the block, I know stuff about fighters which isn't for public consumption, so I don't say anything.
I don't tell people I know, tap my nose, and say it's a secret.
As I said Spud has a lot of form for this, so much so that I doubt he has the secrets that he claims to have, but won't tell anyone!

I suspect it had nothing to do with Spud....but between the parties involved. But congratulate spud on many experiences on the ride. Boxing is ugly and beautiful.

Gentlemen, gentlemen
Despite all these years some are still bitter and twisted & cannot manage to post without their insults.
As for someone calling me a mug ...
20 years working in the sport has seen me work on shows in:
Germany
Las Vegas
Sochi - Russia
Moscow - Russia
Riga - Latvia
Saudi Arabia
As well as working for the former heavyweight champion of the world
I could go on ...
Where as some of you guys are still stuck behind your keyboards resorting to your internet bullying ways with your insults.
Mate, you're the Adam Smith of boxing forums
Mate, he’s thrown a kettle over a pub, what have you ever done?
Amazing

World title win (eventually) or not, parting company with Booth didn’t work out well for Groves.
As for Spud’s disdain, it must stem from Groves refusing to autograph his scrapbook
![[icon_wink.gif] ;-)](./images/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif)
. Like David Haye, in public Groves is very personable. But behind closed doors both got very big for their boots and were prone to petulance. In other words, treating some people like shit.
Good to see you back on the forum Spudly, you pudendum.

Parting company with Booth was definitely detrimental for Groves career. I believe he beats Froch with Booth in his corner.
One thing that I thought was a bit odd was seeing Groves was charging something like 1k for personal training sessions at one point. I wonder if he had any takers

yeah, when Groves had Froch down and hurt early they had Booth giving input on the coverage, can't remember if it was on the radio or tv coverage but one thing he said was he would have had Groves going to the body to take advantage and to mix things up to allow him to keep landing the right hand over the top easier. i got the impression Booth would have had a chance of keeping Groves cool and maybe giving him chance to get the finish.

My my not quite like the old days but a “ruck” of sorts.
The same internet bully boys surfacing trying to dictate what I can & cannot write, mixed in with the normal insults ... whats worse is they cower behind their keyboards refusing to reveal their true names.
To make it clear ... I will write what I want, when I want ... if you dont like it move on or engage in a reasonable debate without the insults.
I have worked in the sport for 20 years now, I love boxing so its very rare I take a dislike to a boxer ... I will say again I cannot stand Groves

I completely agree with those who state Groves would have beaten Froch if Booth was still in his corner.
For me GG leaving Booth was a big mistake.

classic. nobody's trying to shut you down or dictate what you can say, you silly, pompous muppet
we just like mocking your mannerisms, because it seems you're basically unable to ever post without your little *nose-tapping' tic rearing its head.
i'd tell you more, but i'm a forum insider, there are certain things I can't really make you privy to about the forum politics around here I'm afraid mate but believe me *taps nose* if you knew the whole story, you'd know why you get these responses sometimes *taps nose* happen

I think poor old Terry is having a midlife crisis and has forgotten his login details.

I used to like groves and thought Degale was in the wrong but I’ve heard from people inside boxing that he’s not liked. I have no specific info just people who’ve trained with him.
Degale struck me as a decent bloke but just a bit thick. You could see his heart sank when the crowd was booing him during the introductions of the Groves fight. This showed a total lack of self awareness. He'd acted like a plum in the lead up and the crowd was only going to favour one fighter after that.
Degale tried to start his career with some fake bad boy persona saying he doesn't care if you hate him then almost burst into tears when he got booed for his dreary debut. Became much more likable after the Groves fight though.

DG is buried under my patio after referring to me as
Carey the pudendum , as a Turkish name spelt backwards. Another keyboard warrior.
But as KG, and the air hostess banging Deserter suggest, surely its time to bring back Shaggy Dog Dooley. I’ve seen pubs during full lockdown looking more lively than this forum.

Who is this spud? Is he a ‘face’? Why is he named after a potatoe?
He is the proud tea-boy at boxing events. Known for making a cuppa for Mick Hennessey. Plenty of sugar. His reputation for making a cuppa was so good that he got scouted by the Saudi's where as he says he got to enjoy GG getting done by Smith.
