Naaa can’t see it.. already too many..
Hopefully. If they’re going up against Fury fighting a poor opponent on PPV they could do good numbers.

I would have thought that this will be the fight that they try to launch DAZN in the U.K. with.

I’d be very surprised if it’s on Sky.

Ryan Garcia: I'll Put The Final Nail in The Coffin of Campbell's Career!

Undefeated lightweight contender Ryan Garcia is not intimidated by the experience level of Olympic gold medal winner Luke Campbell.

Campbell suffered defeats in his world title fights against Vasiliy Lomachenko and Jorge Linares - although he was competitive in both fights.

On December 5th, Garcia will face Campbell for the WBC's interim-title.

The winner will become the mandatory challenger to full champion Devon Haney.

Campbell believes Garcia and his handlers made a big mistake in accepting this fight.

But Garcia expects a very impressive performance.

"This will put me at the top of the lightweight division. I have to go through Campbell," Garcia, aged 22, told Sky Sports.

"He hasn't fought anybody except Lomachenko and Jorge Linares and he lost those. If your experience is losing? I don't want that experience. This is his 'get to the top or not' type of fight. Me? I'm still that young gun coming up.

"I keep hearing him say he's going to knock me out! He's not. He couldn't even knock out a 126lbs Lomachenko. He's not going to beat me. He's talking a good game. But he'll learn real quick that I hit harder than Lomachenko. This is his last chance but I'll put the final nail in the coffin [of his career]. He fought Yvan Mendy, who I've never heard of, and he lost! So what experience does he have, really?"

Garcia is trained by veteran coach Eddy Reynoso, who also works with Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.

"I train with the pound-for-pound champion (Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez). He will learn real soon that I'm not there just to do Instagram videos. You'll see how much I bring. I'm a true fighter, not an Instagram fighter. I may do all that [social media] because I can and I have the opportunity, but I feel disrespected big time as a fighter," Garcia said.

"I'm not here to play games. I'll start throwing my punches and he'll see. If I catch him clean, if he gets hurt, he's out of there. There will be no escape. It's over, the moment he gets hurt."

Garcia-Campbell Interim Title Fight Heads To Fantasy Spring Casino

Weeks after finally securing a fight date, the interim lightweight title fight between Ryan Garcia and Luke Campbell officially has a home.

The December 5 crossroads bout between current perennial Top 10 contenders will stream live on DAZN from Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California. The location has served as fight headquarters for Golden Boy Promotions post-pandemic, with the team on site for the official announcement during Thursday’s pre-fight weigh-in for Friday’s middleweight clash between Jaime Munguia and Tureano Johnson.

Garcia (20-0, 17 KOs) will fight at the intimate, fan-friendly venue for the third time in his young career. The last such occasion came last March, scoring a 3rd round knockout of Jose Lopez. The 22-year old lightweight—who is trained by Eddy Reynoso—has since added a pair of explosive 1st round knockout wins over ledger, blasting out Romero Duno in 98 seconds last November in Las Vegas and taking out Francisco Fonseca in just 80 seconds this past Valentine’s Day in front of a sold-out crowd at Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

Campbell (20-3, 16 KOs) makes his first appearance at the venue and just third overall in California. The 2012 Olympic Gold medalist from Hull, England traveled abroad for the first time in a tune-up level knockout win in August 2014. His next trip resulted in a narrow split decision defeat to then lightweight titlist Jorge Linares in their thrilling September 2017 clash at The Forum in Inglewood, California.

Three wins followed for Campbell before coming up short in his three-belt title bid versus then-unified titlist Vasiliy Lomachenko last August in London.

The winner of the bout will own an interim version of the lightweight title currently held by Devin Haney (24-0, 15 KOs), all of whom will remain in pursuit of recently crowned lineal 135-pound champion Teofimo Lopez.

A decision as to whether fans and media will be permitted to attend the December 5 show will be revealed by Golden Boy in the coming days.

Ryan Garcia vs Luke Campbell “most likely” to land on December 19th

Good news for those bummed by Luke Campbell’s positive COVID test scrapping his December 5th meeting with Ryan Garcia. Oscar De La Hoya tells Mike Coppinger that the fight will “most likely” land just two weeks later on December 19th, as Campbell “was already 10 days into quarantine” when word came of the positive test.

If that date sounds familiar, it’s because that’s also when Canelo Alvarez intends to make his first appearance as a free agent. I could very easily see Golden Boy trying to pit the two cards head-to-head in an attempt to prove that they can operate just fine without their biggest star; that said, if Canelo does end up facing a Matchroom fighter like Callum Smith or Billy Joe Saunders, someone’s going to have to back down.

Whatever the case, it’s good to hear that we won’t have to wait much longer for a very intriguing lightweight matchup.

Garcia has said he actually wants to be on Canelo's undercard. Canelo may fight on DAZN against Cal Smith.

If that card is canelo vs smith, with Garcia vs Campbell as chief support, then fuk thats a nice start to a card. If they manage to get Dave Allen on it it might even be PPV worthy.

Possibly.. It was supposed to originally be an afternoon showing in the US.

Unless Sky make a decent bid to show it.. Who knows.
