x2. Disgraceful that sky are willing to put on 3 PPVs between the end of Oct and Dec, yet can't pick up this unbelievable match up. They really do treat proper UK boxing fans like shixe

Sky are saving their load for the Pacman v Mcgregor extravaganza no doubt.

Perhaps they're asking for a huge bundle for the viewing rights...quite rightly, especially when you think of the rubbish with anything involving McGregor.

Still 12 days to go, it's not at all unusual for a TV company to come in with a late bid, but if they don't then I agree...it would be madness.

Wouldn’t expect anything less of Sky Boxing.

Such a shame that allegedly fell by the wayside - this is the kind of fight that a few years ago they’d gleefully pick up late on while sky shamefully weren’t interested.

It would reflect really poorly on BT sport if they weren’t to pick this fight up. Their boxing coverage is squarely aimed at real boxing fans so they know what a travesty it would be if this fight weren’t shown on TV whereas I don’t think that thought would even cross Sky’s mind

From a broadcaster point of view it’s a tough one - whilst Lomachenko is pretty well known, Lopez won’t be know by anyone outside of hardcores.

Combines with the fact that the main event won’t start until 4am means it won’t actually get many viewers. A lot of the American based fights featuring Brits don’t get big viewers so I can understand why they haven’t gone for this one.

Still crap for the rest of us though who would love to watch it. I’d be a little surprised if it happens but hopefully Top Rank let the rights go for a nominal fee close to the fight.

Given Bob seems to favour FW I’m a little surprised BT haven’t picked it up to do Bob a favour.

Sky have made an offer and Arum turned it down. I don't think BT or any other network have even made an offer as yet.

If Arum had his way he'd have this on PPV along with Brook Crawford. He's a greedy fornicator like the rest of em.

What is winding me up and really raising my blood pressure is that this bout is free in America on regular ESPN

margaret thatcher wrote: 25 Sep 2020, 15:39 Be honest with yourselves my bruhs, if you knew nothing else about Loma except for his lightweight performances, would you really think he's all that special?

Basically, I think he's moved past a weight where he's at his best, one where he is more suseptible to just being outstrengthend and outmanned. He is more apprehensive and has been dropped and hurt. Lopez not only has the size, power, strength, but he is also a very sharp power as well, with good timing and sharp accuracy and power in both hands.

You add in that Loma's a bit brittle, and I really like Teo here. Think he's a p4p fighter soon.
mags i agree with some of what your saying i dont think loma has many more fights left , but is teo not just a Pedraza
Commey is better than pedraza. I'm going teo, not with much confidence. Worried about the weight.
I think the difference in experience, especially at the very top level, is too much for a bit of youth and size to overcome BUT Lopez is very very good and will box his tits off to prove himself.

Pedraza would’ve beat Commey tho

YouTube just had a live media session with Bob Arum and Vasyl Lomachenko.

For all the Skysports bashers out there, you'd have loved what Arum labelled them..."money grabbers"

Effectively accused them of 'taking' from the sport as opposed to supporting it.

From what I can tell Sky made an offer for the fight, Arum turned it down due to the low amount so they went with Fite TV to do it as a PPV as no one else (including BT) made an offer.

Not sure whether that makes Sky money grabbers (obviously see where he’s coming from given the upcoming 3 PPVs) but doesn’t the deal make Bob the money grabber?!

Well it's Prime time in the US and it's NOT ppv.. Maybe the offer was way less than usual.

No, sky are serving up their boxing customers shite sandwiches, journeymen heavies as PPV “stars” lol, and their non PPV cards are bottom of the barrel stuff- But they take a pass on the really big fights that count like this ..plus I’m guessing they’re not gonna show the tank fight either. Absolute travesty
