Absolute tragedy that this isn't on UK tv, really scratch my head sometimes... !!
x2. Disgraceful that sky are willing to put on 3 PPVs between the end of Oct and Dec, yet can't pick up this unbelievable match up. They really do treat proper UK boxing fans like shixekbackup408 wrote: ↑05 Oct 2020, 11:47 Absolute tragedy that this isn't on UK tv, really scratch my head sometimes... !!
Sky are saving their load for the Pacman v Mcgregor extravaganza no doubt.JimJim2009 wrote: ↑05 Oct 2020, 13:06x2. Yeah, have to say, allegedly was great for these international shows.CaptainSpacerod wrote: ↑05 Oct 2020, 17:08 Such a shame that allegedly fell by the wayside - this is the kind of fight that a few years ago they’d gleefully pick up late on while sky shamefully weren’t interested.
It would reflect really poorly on BT sport if they weren’t to pick this fight up. Their boxing coverage is squarely aimed at real boxing fans so they know what a travesty it would be if this fight weren’t shown on TV whereas I don’t think that thought would even cross Sky’s mind
What is winding me up and really raising my blood pressure is that this bout is free in America on regular ESPNJimJim2009 wrote: ↑05 Oct 2020, 13:06x2. I think the difference in experience, especially at the very top level, is too much for a bit of youth and size to overcome BUT Lopez is very very good and will box his tits off to prove himself.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑02 Oct 2020, 02:37Commey is better than pedraza. Basically, I think he's moved past a weight where he's at his best, one where he is more suseptible to just being outstrengthend and outmanned. He is more apprehensive and has been dropped and hurt. Lopez not only has the size, power, strength, but he is also a very sharp power as well, with good timing and sharp accuracy and power in both hands.
You add in that Loma's a bit brittle, and I really like Teo here. Think he's a p4p fighter soon.

From what I can tell Sky made an offer for the fight, Arum turned it down due to the low amount so they went with Fite TV to do it as a PPV as no one else (including BT) made an offer.
Well it's Prime time in the US and it's NOT ppv.. Maybe the offer was way less than usual.maverick23 wrote: ↑07 Oct 2020, 03:47From what I can tell Sky made an offer for the fight, Arum turned it down due to the low amount so they went with Fite TV to do it as a PPV as no one else (including BT) made an offer.
Not sure whether that makes Sky money grabbers (obviously see where he’s coming from given the upcoming 3 PPVs) but doesn’t the deal make Bob the money grabber?!
Do they not have a Smart TV app?Boxing Prospect wrote: ↑07 Oct 2020, 03:54 Still amazed no UK TV company have a longer term Top Rank deal, swear allegedly used to. Fite TV is great, but still a shame it's... An app and not just TV
No, sky are serving up their boxing customers shite sandwiches, journeymen heavies as PPV “stars”maverick23 wrote: ↑07 Oct 2020, 03:47From what I can tell Sky made an offer for the fight, Arum turned it down due to the low amount so they went with Fite TV to do it as a PPV as no one else (including BT) made an offer.
