Tyson Fury sure as hell isnt now. Thus with no crowd it will be PPV. If anyone wants to try and draw a balance sheet with no crowd on how to pay Fury 1.5 million or so and Browne 300-400k then by all means let’s see it.

I’d imagine whoever he fights will fetch bigger worldwide tv rights than Dubious-Joyce. And bigger sponsorship.

I often think promotors leak out a name they know people will kick off about, so that when the actual opponent gets announced they seem better in relative terms.

If the rankings are manipulated to get somebody in the top 15 and the world title tag is thus used to sell it as PPV I hope the media report the dodgy goings-on and don't just sit on their hands like they usually do.
Don't think we can rule out the WBC's top 15 cruiserweights as possibilities.

Might as well fight Takam, Rivas is also abvailable.. I've heard some say Kabayel.. Again all these are with Top Rank aren't they?

I can just visualise the hanger oners sorry management in each camp now scrabbling around for the upside .
mtk looking to find a decent fight for fury whilst wilders side could look at the legals in the contract to see if they should be compensated .

Yeh, he won't getting his usual $12.5 million or thereabouts, as the fight will be in the UK and NOT USA. Although ESPN will probably have the rights in the US. I remember both Schwarz/Wallin fights were prime time in the US and both where on ESPN+.

The gate for the Shwarz fight helped too, sold only 5,489 tickets with a gate of $882,145 .. Tickets where priced high, that;s why the arena were more than 60% empty.

The fight with Wallin generated $999,722.50 from 3,577 Tickets Sold. Again the tickets were too costly.

So less tickets sold but more revenue?

Reason I'm mentioning this, they're looking at 3,000 fans at the Royal Albert Hall..

They're gonna have those prices daft too aren't they.. Plus if they got Yarde-Arthur on too.

Let's say an average ticket price is £750, they're looking at a gate of £2m..

3,000 in the Albert hall would be way too many mate.

If they were putting a fight on at the O2 I’d expect them to start off with 1,000 spread right out.

I can see an offer being made to Ortiz, he is in training, and in a normal world, you think at his age he would pull out out his return warm up fight and take a shot at the WBC title. I know he's not won for a while but he's probably the best they could get under the circumstances, but would he put a WBC title shot above a mega payday cos that would otherwise be the stumbling block. At his age, what is the point of carrying on, if not to get another crack at the world title ?

I actually looked at that top 30 and I thought - well okay they are all "acceptable" for a title fight in a shortish notice job.... but then Lucas Browne seems to be in pole position - jeez.

How about this guy as a "dark horse" contender - in decent shape, just come off a career best win, credible and surely will be considered light punching..... Briedis.

Also, let's not forget, we have seen it in the past where someone ranked #35 randomly appears in the top 15 and is mentioned as the next opponent.

Of those not already booked: Ruiz, Rivas, Hunter, Martin, Ajagba, Kabayel.

My money would be on Kabayel or Rivas. Kabayel fits the bill of an unbeaten European who wouldn't be much of a threat and Fury would be too big for Rivas in my opinion, and Warren would think that too.

Browne is a terrible option. They would be better off with Kabayel or Charr, who surely would take their hands off in accepting. Price adds history plus at the end of the day he's big and a banger.

Browne adds nothing. He got knocked down and arguably lost to Solokowski for goodness sake.

The plan is to use the blueprint the Albert Hall has drawn up for a series of Christmas concerts to allow a crowd of up to 3,000 to attend.

Wouldnt be surprised if Charr gets it.

Agreed it's a terrible option, I think they could only do it for a non title fight, maybe to give Browne a payday as he is good pals with Tyson
