Wrong direction.
Not if we get more fights it isnt !
smaller HW guys who are currently unable to really compete at the top due to sheer size differnces .
I respectfully disagree. We need less divisions, not more.

Look at the top 10 on boxrec. 4 of the 10 have fought below or right around 225. Its a fake narrative to get more sanctioning fees and anyone falling for it here is a total idiot

Is the name officially super cruiser?
Really?
There are cooler names.
They should make this cruiser and cruiser can be junior cruiser.
The division stinks but the title fights it creates might not. Wilder vs Usyk for the [super cruiser] championship of the world anyone?

This for me represents the death of Boxing. I'll never watch again as long as this weight class exists. Loma vs Lopez is it for me.
My last hurrah as a Boxing fan tonight.

Can they just ... do that? Don't these decisions have to be made by athletic commissions?
None of 'em have been before have they? Certainly not 130, 140, 154 or so on.

A huge part of any sport is its rich history. This re-writing must stop. Back to basic divisions for me.

I'd go ahead and include Strawweight because even some of the Legendary Flyweights were really, really small like that, but that's the only extra one.
I don't think we'd be missing nothing without Cruiserweight either personally. Not much has ever really come of it.
Though I'd probably keep it anyway

What’s the division called?
Cruiserweight up to 190, Super Heavyweight over 224.
In between will be Heavyweight.
If this is true....I am even more against it.

Think about this.
Should another phenom like Mike Tyson come along. He'd have to gain 15 pounds for no reason just to compete in the biggest fights possible. Along the way of gaining that 15 pounds. He'd lose speed. He'd lose stamina. He'd lose explosiveness due to packing on unnecessary extra mass.
This sport has ruined the possibility of there ever being another Mike Tyson. Another Jack Dempsey. Another Joe Louis. It can never happen again.

This is a joke. This with franchise is almost enough that WBC should start to become a secondary belt. The heavyweight division is already thin. Now trying to cut it in half.
All while screwing over the cruisers that can’t make 190.
In all seriousness every heavyweight that weighs under 245 will be able to make 225 if they want with minimal effort. That’s more than half the division. Doubt they will bother cause who will respect this belt the same as a real heavyweight belt...

The product is trash. I just cling to being a fan. Paying for Jacobs/rosado bothers me more than this. Not that it isn't ridiculous. Essentially what they're doing is telling the current cruisers to get fat.

The one thing that needs to happen to save Boxing. Is the next time somebody wins a WBC Title. Throw it down in the ring, and f*cking spit on it.
If this sport means anything to anybody. They need to en masse boycott the WBC from here on.
They won't of course.

There's an outside possibility that Usyk COULD potentially outbox the likes of AJ or Fury.
If he has to gain over 224 pounds to even fight them. That chance is gone.

He can still weigh less than 224 and fight AJ or Fury.
It’s like RJJ. He weighed 198 against Ruiz. Then on the day he went down to 193 I think..

Yes
Cruiserweight went up to 200 pounds in either 2004 or 2005. I forget which. But Jirov vs Toney was in 2003, and the weight limit was 190 pounds.

I haven't cared about a fight this year. I'll be damned if I'm boycotting the fight tonight because of a weight division.
