It's been dead for 7 days now. Mauricio Sulaiman and the WBC killed it
I receive emails from the WBC. Mauricio Sulaiman says boxing is doing great. For example, this week he mentioned the Lomachenko vs. Lopez fight and other notable fights. He usually mentions the best recent fights that the WBC sanctions.
Unless you got an email from Mauricio Sulaiman saying he's gonna blow his brains out I don't give a f*ck what that piece of sh*t said.

I think it’s a combo platter between the promoters/alphabet divisions/the most useless pawns of the system=judges.

#1 I’m f’ng tired of the “agreement in principle” for a matchup two fights away...providing that BOTH guys win their fights at hand.

——I haven’t seen the actual scorecards from Estrada/Cuadras 2 from last night but I can guarantee that Cuadras got screwed. That kid fought his heart out. I. Not even a fan but I could have easily given that kid 7 of those rounds including a 10-8 but I bet he had no shot of winning after 10 rounds. That’s crap.

Aside of a KO ruining prospects of a big fight made in this method, I can’t think of another that was foiled as a result of a decision by these low life rent a judge slimes there just to make sure that there’s nothing standing in the way of this forecasted fight too far in advance. I don’t trust any of these worms.

The worst part is when the KO ruins things, the victor never seems to get that fight to be. I don’t know specifics about a rematch clause but why the F does Povetkin have to fight DW again? Why didn’t HE earn the fight with Fury? So what, he has to now beat him twice to get what DW could have had with just one win over Povetkin, my new bff?

Ah, whatever. Complaining does nothing but make us feel a tad better and for that, I thank the OP.

People like Don King are the problem with boxing.
It's a tough enough sport without guys like King cheating boxers out of their money.
The fact that criminal promoters thrive is the real problem.
This is why there should be a single sanctioning body with strict rules of conduct for everyone involved.
Promoters should not steal 50-75% of a purse with no one to stop them.

I was born in the early '70s. Boxing in the '80s had more great fights than now with three world title belts instead of four (really more than four because of interim, super, etc.) The WBO wasn't around back then. Boxing needs more young fans, but they are mostly playing video games and watching Esports instead. Esports is rapidly growing in popularity. All traditional sports are affected by this and not just boxing. The number of pro Esports players has tripled over the last five years. Esports can have a global audience and can be played almost anywhere in the world. If people decide that they don't want to watch sports with corrupt and incompetent officials such as the judges in boxing and the referees in American football, then they may decide to watch Esports instead.
