All based on 10 second clips of hitting a bag.
Nobody said he's a better boxer, he's in better shape than he was. Clearly leaner now than when he last fought.
Doesn't matter how great someones body looks it means nothing in a fight.

Perhaps Roy will be mesmerised by Tysons chiselled pecs and lulled into unconsciousness.

Didn't help Anthony Joshua much.

...or Jeff 'T-shirt Muscles' Lacy.

You are quite possibly the most Moronic debutante we've ever seen on this board, which is some accolade, believe you me.

Funny, I never said it means everything but it is important. Not so much comparing two boxers but as a measure of the individual's fitness level. Generally speaking, if a fighter comes into a fight in good shape relative to his history it's a good thing. We all have seen when guys show up fat or out of shape for them what that usually means.

Really? Personal attacks now? I assure you if we're comparing IQ's I would do just fine.

Why is there a poll for this fight, when the CSAC has already stated there'll be no judges, no winner and no knockout?

People just can't wrap their head around the fact that an Exhibition is a glorified Sparring Session apparently.

They really really wish this fight and these two fighters, still mattered. So they're tricking themselves into believing it.

100% guarantee the internet will have several people complaining about what a waste of time it was after they watch it.

That's my bad.. When I create a fight thread, I automatically just add a poll..

Seen this on facebook.. They have put some facts and figures on there and are trating it like it's a genuine fight.

No mention of it being an exhibition. :brick:

mcrow42 wrote: 23 Oct 2020, 11:40I doubt that. Do you even watch boxing?

Foreman beat top 30 guys at 48. Holyfield beat top 3. guys nearing 50.

I would place a $100 bet on Tyson vs some of the guys nearing #30.
George Foreman didn’t defeat any top guys at the age of 48.

Unless you're a huge fan of Lou Savarese, which I'm not. So we'll agree to disagree about that point.

And I guess you could say Big George was unlucky against Shannon Briggs, but he didn't officially win that fight.

Foreman had only just turned 46 of age for the final victory of his career over a world-rated opponent, which was the controversial majority decision against Axel Schulz.

Ultimately though, wasn't George Foreman 48 years of age for his final outing?

And Evander Holyfield didn’t beat any top-three rated guys when he was approaching 50 years age either. He was only 48 when he retired, after suffering shockingly poor form for a couple of years.

Don't get me wrong, Holyfield's form was already poor when he reached his 37th birthday, but he only became journeyman calibre until he turned 46, immediately after his last hurrah in the Nikolai Valuev defeat.

He didn't achieve anything of any note for the remainder of his career after that fight.

And let’s not forget the fact that Mike Tyson is 54 years of age.

He was only 38 years of age when he was KO’d by two journeymen - his final bouts of his career. And 15½ years would have transpired since his most recent outing.

WBC creates 'frontline' championship belt for Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr., will also handle fight scoring

Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr will be competing for the WBC Frontline Battle Belt, I’m told. Here’s a pic of said belt, created just for them.

They meet on 11/28. [Link View Has Been Removed. Click Here To Unlock This Content.]

I think this is somewhat interesting but will turn out to be disappointing.

Some Tyson fanboys are saying Mike is coming back to challenge Fury.

Some people just aren't realistic. They really, really wish they had got to see Tyson in his prime, and he's always been talked up by their Dad's and Uncle's as the baddest motherf*cker ever, and they think he still is.

He wouldn't beat anybody in the Top 50.

He probably wouldn't beat Roy in an actual 10 round fight. Given that it's just a bullsh*t sparring session Roy will probably do nothing, and just let him shine because he knows people are coming to see Mike.

He's in his 50's and quit against a guy who wasn't ranked in the Top 30 the last time he fought 14 years ago.

You don't get better in your 50's after 14 years of doing jack sh*t.
