Maybe one or two at best

Apart from Romanov v Kuzmin where I'd expect Romanov to win comfortably, and maybe Huni is likely to be well beyond McKean in the near future, I think there are some pick 'em fights there which make sense in terms of geography and logistics.

I'd be interested in how forum users would see these going, if anyone would like to comment on all of them / some of them / one of them. ?

Oh well this one stands a good chance of happening since it's scheduled for this Saturday night. I had no more idea about this one than the others when I suggested it. It should be a good fight. Darmani Rock seems to think it'll be a walk in the park but I think it'll be highly competitive which is of course why I proposed it.

MBI was my suggestion because Ilunga and Ajagba are the two standout heavyweights from Africa, and it would be a great match-up to determine which of them is Africa's number one, no?

Of course it is a risky fight for both of them and risky fights are not always what a prospect is looking for. Ajagba took on two decent fighters in Demerezen and Kiladze so it seems he doesn't run from a challenge. I think this would be a great fight and if he is serious about world title ambitions then he needs to test himself against fighters better than he has faced so far. Ilunga would be about right at this stage in my opinion.

As for you-tube hits, I'm not entirely sure what that has to do with his progression in his chosen profession.

yeah i happened to to notice the coffee guy like a year ago. he definitely looks the part, huuge dude(6'5" massive 270 plus which means zip)think he was military & turned pro late.

surely he won't be on his toes for 12 but seems he got some steam in his hands.

if his chin turns out legit & he"s able to rock & roll with incoming fire he could possibly turn out dark horse of the division.

he doesn't have time to waste so rock is a good first step up but could be his last too. if he clocks rock they should sideline him fast, make some more fights we wanna see, legit prospect vs prospect. not the picking lambs to slaughter forever thats going on everywhere as soon a guy shows some potential...potential to make some dough, sadly...

Promoters need to do something with these guys, they are wasting their time and making poor money fighting soft opposition. Some of them should fight each other.

Mostly agree. Hrgovic has talent the needs to be tested, his problem is nobody good wants to fight him. They know better.

Wilder won't touch any of these guys, neither will Fury. Well he had change to fight Kaybek on Dec 7, 2020 but passed. Joshua may give a younger guy a title shot if Fury vs. Joshua can't be made.

I'll claim the credit for suggesting that it wasn't going to be an easy fight for Rock though even if I didn't go so far as to predict he'd lose. If Coffie was younger, a lot younger, I'd be predicting a big future for him but he's 35 I believe, so he's left it a bit late. He can be in some fun fights though.

I've never seen Rock before the Coffie fight and I thought, that Rock had been just another stiff for building Coffie's record. But Rock had been seen as a prospect too! Well, he's in awful shape now, that's for sure. I don't believe, he'll become a near top fighter. Coffie can appear around top 20, in my opinion.

Btw, Coffie floored Rock so damn spectacularly.

Rock was a very promising amateur and turned pro with big expectations, but fans have been very critical of his poor conditioning. He was very dismissive of MPC though before the fight even though just the most cursory of research should have alerted him to fact that he was going to be facing a live one.

This loss either puts the seal on a disappointing career that never really got started or it gives Rock the kick up the arse he so obviously needs (my money would be on the former eventuality).

Polite-Coffie didn't start boxing until he was 29 but he is improving rapidly each time out. Clearly he has heavy hands and having served seven or eight years as a leatherneck, he is not going to suffer Rock's lack of self discipline. I don't know how far he can go but I'm looking forward to following his journey.
