Eubank Snr and Jnr don’t. “Better than Mayweather” , “Knock our Golovkin”. In one sense such talk is the norm in boxing: a fighter and his team have to promote themselves.Steveh583 wrote: ↑10 Jan 2021, 07:23
because no one said dave allen was more talented than and would beat the heavyweight equivalent of triple G
i dont think its him, or his performances that are unpopular. its his twat of a dad and his pathetic attention seeking ramblings, the fact he gets shots that more talented fighters dont cos of his name, and the instagram bullshit he indulges.
i was put off him when he put up a vid of bashing up a sparring partner![]()
But when you don’t or can’t back it up it, you will get a backlash.
I for one am a fan of Eubank Jr the boxer (not personality). He’s always in
Top shape, throws a gazalion punches and can punch a bit too. What’s not to like?
Sure he’s not top class due to his poor footwork but matched well I think he can pick up a version of a world title and it will be a fun ride.

"I'm thrilled to have signed a promotional deal with Team Sauerland,” said Eubank Jr. “I look forward to working with such a historic stable that has created so many legends in the sport over so many years. I look forward to the big fights that I crave. I’ve spent the last 12 months in the gym and I feel better than ever. I’m ready to take over the middleweight division. I want all the champions - Murata, Charlo, Andrade, Golovkin – put me in the ring with any of them. I only want to fight the best. This is my time. If you have a belt, I’m coming for you.”

I’m still not too sure what Sauerland are bringing to the party. No TV deal in the U.K. or US and they don’t promote any world champs or name fighters around that weight.
They seem to work fairly well and closely with Matchroom so perhaps they’ll look to get his fights on Sky and leave Kalle/Nisse to deal with the English bullshit.

Could they do ITV box office? Granted he isn’t gonna generate as much as a Sky box office show but that may be a better option than the other broadcast options unless they do indeed do co promotions with Matchroom.

ITV got rid of their PPV channel about 18 months ago so that’s not an option. It’s expensive to have a freeview channel when the their PPVs are doing poorly.jameswilson wrote: ↑10 Jan 2021, 17:44 Could they do ITV box office? It takes a lot more than putting a fight on terrestrial to get people to buy it. Sky are in a league of their own being able to hype something.
