Nicky was never the opponent, his brother was brought in as an opponent at championship level towards the end of his career.

Nevertheless that's not a journeyman.

I know Jason has had real struggles with alcohol and I remember reading years ago that Nicky was addicted to heroin? last I heard he was doing pretty well trying to fight it but looks like the damage was done tragically.

For the MMA fans here who never watched him he kind of fought like a Diaz brother, very high workrate with semi powershots to head and body, I remember when he caught Ady Lewis with a cracking bodyshot to end their fight
