Because come the night of the fight, he'd be in with monsters like Diego Corrales who would punch his lights out.
It still wouldn't affect his hand and foot speed.

How does a thread about Naseem Hamed end up becoming a thread about gay love?
Says it all about how highly regard these almost monthly rumours, isn't it?

Hamed should come back, judging by the performance of Harrison the weekend Hamed would walk straight through him, we need charicters like Hamed, the game seems really stale of the showman type of fighter that Hamed was or is.

I have serious doubts that Hamed could beat Harrison if he returned. Bad as Harrison looked, Hamed looked every bit as bad against Calvo, and making weight will hardly have got any easier.
I don't believe that we'll ever see him back anyhow.

For a start, Naz says in the Sheffield Star article that he hasn't said anything public before.
Untrue. Just over a year ago he was on some Muslim radio station and said he would be fighting that Easter time in the Middle East. As we all know, ball all came of it.
I'm just fed up of hearing about it.

Man....it's like I've never been away. Hamed making a comeback, the website playing up, concerns over who's going to show the Hopkins fight, and the current scene's still looking like someone should put it out of its misery.
At least there isn't anyone bitching about Calzaghe...........oh....wait a minute.......
I'm not sure I've ever seriously commented on one of these Hamed comeback threads before, so here goes. The prince (I was so tempted to call him "the fat prince") is not coming back. I think he misses the sport, and, in particular, the limelight. Maybe he actually means what he says when he talks of a return, but he'll do some gym work in private and the reality will soon kick in. He just doesn't have the desire to put himself through the punishment of getting into shape. I can't really blame him either, he's got kids, a wife, a pretty good record, and more money than he'll ever need, so why put himself through it?
