he went up there to smash the overly ripe kovalev, while clearly faded still at the top with a belt to pick up from.

moving (back) up to 175 makes zero sense for canelo for all the reasons mentioned. his trainer said it, too many disadvantages stacked against him.

staying at 168 for the foreseeable future is really canelo's ONLY OPTION because beterbiev as the inevitable match to make would make a robbery impossible by plain & simple knocking canelo the eff out!

ggg gave him all he could handle and some more, beat canelo twice, back 2 back. while getting effed & robbed.

canelo's a force at 168. he should try to unify. by legit wins in legit fights versus the other beltholders.

Dude the thread is right here. There's been like 1 or 2 people that criticized Canelo in this thread, and most people have said him staying at 168 is the most logical and lucrative idea for him. Are you so desperate to be disagreed with that you'll just make it up so you can pull "facts" out of your ass?

Believe it or not most fight fans respect both Golovkin and Canelo. They're both exciting fighters.

Read the thread man. Far more people are seeing Canelo not campaigning any further at 175 as a smart move, and a good thing than the opposite.

It's as if you created this thread to do battle with people hating on Canelo, and when that didn't happen you just did it anyway even though it doesn't make any sense.

Stay somewhere between 160-175 pounds in case something comes up.
He's probably better boxing at 160 if he can make it, tempts the Welterweights up having a name fighter within reach.

Not really no. Even if Spence ultimately goes up to Middleweight it'll be several years from now. I don't see Canelo waiting around for an Errol Spence fight which frankly wouldn't be any bigger money wise than a fight with Caleb Plant which is there for him right now.

Spence definitely wouldn't bypass 154 and go straight to 160. So it'd be 3 or 4 years from now at minimum. There's just no way Canelo can stick around 160 that long, and be in top form. No reason why he'd even try. Canelo is a draw against anybody. He's the money fighter. Spence would need him. He wouldn't need Spence.

Is his contract with Haymon up by the end of 2021? Because if not then there's zero chance of that happening.

Crawford's contract with Arum is gonna be up soon. He's gonna become available. That's the big fight in Spence's future. Crawford would almost certainly sign with PBC after his contract with Arum is up. Or he'd just be a free agent which would be available for fights with those guys.
