Imagine Barrera teeing off with those brilliant balanced combos he throws, Scott wouldn't know what hit him.

I would tip him against Brodie, Soto and the guy positioned 8 (mainly because his name doesn't ring a bell). All the rest I would tip the other guy, although maybe he could beat the unheralded WBA champion John. Infact, I think John is tailer made for Harrison.
There was Derrick Gainer not in the top ten who I would tip also.
Would Polo beat him in a rematch, not sure. Lets have the fight in Columbia, the scoring might be fairer there.
I'd give Scott a chance against Chi too, simply because Chi would be there to be hit, there were signs in the Sugama fight that Chi might not be the indestructable monster he appears, and Brodie showed he can't fight at all when pushed back. Would be a good old-fashioned tear-up between two come-forward fighters, too.
Chi hits to hard, is too fast. Chi's opponent this weekend is an absolute unkowner. I've spoken to Aussie's who know their boxing and they've never heard of him. So if Chi struggles here then maybe it is a sign of wear and tear. Sugama was a massive puncher at a low level and I think he carried that power into world class. He was a one punch KO artist, something Harrison isn't.
I just think Chi hits too hard, is stronger and throw more punchers. I envisage a great tear up but I think it would end surprising early considering both fighter do not often go down.

Speed is not something associated with Chi. He moves his head even less than Scott if that is even possible. Maybe Scott has just done what every fighter seems to do after a string of KO's, just go for the 1 punch all the time and forget what made him what he was. Scotts a combination puncher, he seems to have forgotten that totally. He can look good when he throws combos. Maybe he has learned his lesson, maybe not.

Harrison threw dozens of combinations, Polo made him miss.

I was at the fight tonight, and i thought Harrison was poor. But i thought he deserved to win. A draw certainly wasn't a terrible decision.
Harrison looked weight drained tonight IMO.

I thought Polo totally outboxed Harrison.

Hand speed is what I was referring to..... Chi might not be asssociated with Floyd Mayweather esque hand speed, but he is faster in that department than Harrison. It will be a war, but I think Chi is stronger, hits harder and has faster hands.
Well I hope, Scott doesn't seriously think of himself as a 1 punch KO artists on the back of two early nights. Chacon (pts), Medina (pts and an 11th round KO), McCullough (pts) and Estrada ran out of gas IMO.

8 rounds to 4. I think extreme favouring for Harrison could score it 6-6 (as 2 and 3 were close). Extreme scoring for Polo could have made it 10-2 (because 1 and 12 were close).
However, I think if your card had Polo winning 1 over the first five rounds, then he has got to have won the fight. 6-11 were clear Polo rounds in my opinion.
Edit - On second viewing of the early rounds, no the 3rd wasn't close (it was clear for Polo).

I was at a friends house who doesn't have sky. I had to watch the BBC bit on their site. After 12th round, I honestly thought Polo had won it fairly comfortably.
Now, I am Scottish, and I am a Scott fan (though I want to smash a great hole through fat Frank's face for all this shite he spews about us not being fans because we don't fill up Braehead arena, that really does my head in. If Frank ever puts on 400lb and comes up to my weight I'd batter the life out of him for that.)
Sorry, bit sidetracked there. Anyway, point is, from what I've heard, Scott was fairly lucky to get the draw. I was imagining after how big he'd arsed up. A slip against Medina, fair enough, he got away with that, but if he'd lost to Polo last night, he would have had a hell of a time to come back into contention after that.
Just how contraversial was the draw? Any doubt, I really think Harrison has to go for the rematch. Where would he go, who would he fight next, without one? Either way, Harrison has to work v. hard. I would say he's about a Charlton compared to the likes of Barrera/Chelsea. Chi I'd put about a Newcastle who Scott probably could beat at home.
One thing though - fair game to the WBO, can't fault their rankings!

Harrison should move up to 130.

I thought the draw was legit. Polo could have won by one or two points, Harrison by one at the most - I felt - so a Polo victory would have been perhaps less controversial than a Scott win, if you can look at it like that. I've had suspicions about it for a long time, but last night did confirm it, and I agree wtih StuJones in that Harrison is at the Polo, Medina, 2nd tier WBO level of the featherweights. Does this mean he can not win at the top tier against the likes of Barrera? No, if he fights out of his skin and over-achieves on the night I think he can cause some shocks.
We all know Scott's limitations of falling asleep and looking robotic with the lack of lateral movement, so I was not surprised in the least to see the fight change after the fifth or so round, when Polo showed he wasn't for going. A tall, strong, slippery southpaw is probably the worst style for Harrison to cope with. I hope he fights some orthodox come forward types next.
I think Harrison - Polo would be 50-50 in a return and no way should he take a rematch. The draw will do him wonders in endearing him to the camps of the big dogs. A big pay day and a shot at real World Title glory is a hell of a lot better than any WBO mandatory shite at Braehead. We know Harrison is not the second coming of Sanchez, so do we really want to watch him fight a string of meaningless defences month in, month out at the Braehead arena for the next three years?
Hopefully his 'less than impressive' (it was impressive to me) performance as a Local Hero of SN's stable will mean Warren goes boom or bust with him, and gives him a big fight straight away. That is what I'd like to see now. The appealing thing to me about Harrison is how far his determination has gotten him. I've always thought he has way over-achieved by boxing his best on the night. And I've thought this ever since the Paterson fight was on live.
Just a couple of other things: I wouldn't read too much into the cut, it looked to be a freak caused by Harrison's own glove. At first I thought it must have been a cut in sparring that had reopened.
The judge from England gave it to Polo, Spanish - Harrison, and the knowledgable Lathan had it a draw. That is not hometown judging. None of them were Scottish, all had it close, which it was.
Don't read into Harrison thinking he'd won the 11th round. It's different when you're in a fight. The rounds all blur into one. This is why he was a bit hazy remembering when the cut happened. Harrison, unlike fighters like De La Hoya and Leonard - who are very conscious of nicking rounds, has such a strong focus and single track mind that everything becomes secondary to just attempting to land on the opponent.

Enjoyed the fight last night, Harrison was badly exposed though, he is very robotic and gets by on his strength and size, almost like a Featherweight Vitali Klitschko. Once those 2 advantages are negated there isn't much else there.
Harrison seems to me to have to really get himself 'up' for a fight and really be spitting fire when he climbs through the ropes. If he isn't then there is always a danger of defeat against even fairly ordinary opposion, not that Polo was that.
Polo is a good boxer too, I like his slippery style and those long sweeping punches of his, felt sorry for him in a way having lost 3 previous 'world' title challenges on split decisions. It was so close though you couldn't really argue, I hope he gets well paid for a rematch.
Lucky Man.

Whilst I agree that you'd have to make Chi favourite, the Sugama fight was interesting in that it's the first time I've seen Chi shaken like that, and Morales battered him to the head all night and he never looked phased. Is his style catching up to him?
Mainly I'd give Scott at least a 40% chance because of the Brodie fight, though. Mickey hurt Chi to the body, and made him look very average when he backed Chi up. I reckon Harrisson is stronger than Brodie, has been in less wars and is probably a litlle more robust around the whiskers.
Anyway, the fight should be made if for no other reason than that it should be a great fight for the viewing public. Chi has shown he will travel, so it should be within Team Harrisson's capabilities, and it's for a legit belt. I think Barrera might just bash Scott up and make things a little one-sided so, as a fan, I'd rather see him in with Chi in the summer. Go for Barrera if he wins that one, maybe?

Stop him! He could barely fornicating hit him for most of the fight. Polo was never really hurt at any stage, he looked disorganised when he was clipped a few times, but on replay you can clearly see that he is focussed on harrison the whole time, and his eyes were as clear as a bell.
If they fight again mate, it won't be polo getting stopped if anyone.

lol at McGuigans 115-114 Harrison. Harrison stopped Medina after not laying a glove on him all night, he could do it in a rematch.
Also those Sky feather rankings are really pissing me off. They still have JMM above Pac despite Pac having a bigger win (Barrera) than any that Marquez has ever had EVER. Fact was JMM/Pac was a close fight and a draw, on most scorecards it was only separated by a point or two. JMM goes on to stink out the joint on the undercard of the biggest card he will ever be on and then prices himself out off a rematch with Pac. Pac takes up the challenge and moves up to fight Morales. They can't justify the those rankings.

I happen to think what McGuigan and McCrory said after was spot on.
Polo exposed Harrison’s limitations at real world class and McCrory added Polo did not do enough to really take the title away.
I just felt that Harrison was the more threatening of the two and the one likely to score the KO.
Very close fight but not a robbery.

Well I can envison a similar situation to the Medina rematch with the aging Polo less able to keep so sharp all night, and most important of all a referee who won't break them apart when Harrison hits low or try's to throw Polo to the canvas like the ref last night did. I think Medina could have won the rematch if not for the constant fouling and they'll find a similar waste of space ref if he fights Polo again. Circumstances can decide a fight.
