Woman can be nasty when they have had too much wine on a night out. A single punch and got out of the situation, probably hoping it blow over. Who knows if she was lying about her double vision etc a decent lawyer probably would have got him off. He will be out in the summer. he may return, boxers like Martin Murray came back from doing time.

It’s dodgy because he’s heavy, I know women can burn your head out when going on pissed up. He’s backhanded her. Big mistake.

Lucky he didn’t kill her, not uncommon for people to die in street fights after being punched and falling backwards and cracking their head off a pavement, he’s a big lad and boxed at a decent level so would know how to punch properly. Soft sentence too.

Not as bad as some of you are making out. She was verbally abusive to him and pushed him twice so he cracked her once in self defence. She was probably a disrespectful big mouthed agressive bimbo.Usually one punch wouldn't cause injuries like that so he's been unlucky. Sentence is fair and he should be allowed back in boxing when he's out.

You can't really judge unless you were there, but a heavyweight boxer smacking a girl whatever the provocation isn't on. As it has been shown you go to jail and can have no complaints.
Nevertheless it really wouldn't surprise me if she was a crazy, screaming banshee who put herself in that situation.
Often girls act like that because they don't think the fella will do anything.

Most decent boxers would be looking at jail for knocking out a fellas, you ain't gonna get away with doing that to a bird whatever she did.
Also, esp for heavyweights, they gotta be careful about killing men if they are handing out proper digs.

Yes. I don’t go to Liam’s gym but he does pt’s over here on a Saturday morning so see him now and again. I didn’t even know who he was until I told a student Muay Thai fighter there was a local gym and a guy doing pt’s called Liam Harrison. It was like I’d said Mike Tyson was doing them at the local boxing club.
