Freddie King said Eubank believed if he didn’t complete all the remaining rounds of sparring with the broken sternum, he would lose to Watson at Earls Court. He knew he’d get the decision before it was announced because he had continued that spar.

I think with the Degale and Eubank fights Groves was able to give up ground and fight off the backfoot because he'd already landed his best shots on both guys and they had taken them. I'm sure he landed some humdingers on Degale coming through and I'd say he took exception to Eubank and landed a couple clean in sparring with no result.

and the funny thing is that the whole 'he beat wilder with tainted gloves!' was started by footage that guys thought was from the rematch but was actually the first fight

although as crazy as it all was, there were some dudes here who picked him and were salty about being wrong that went along with it all lolol
