I think the truth is somewhere in the middle .

BJS has shown for several years he is comfortable doing a Eubank and fighting bums at home for the WBO Title.

We don’t know how much more money he is getting to face Canelo than he typically would get .

So without all the details it’s hard to conclude whether 1) BJS really wants to fight the best or 2) just wants the biggest possible income stream.

Does one Canelo fight = 6 future routine defences for example ?

I think The Staples Centre in LA and the huge arena in Montreal aren’t leisure centres!

It's funny as boxing is the only sport I can think of where losing is such a big deal. The best players in the world at tennis, golf, F1, snooker etc all get beaten, sometimes to rank outsiders. Even in other combat sports like UFC losing isn't really made a big deal of.

As a Eubank fan/stalker/impersonator, don’t you think he wishes he got to where Billy is now? The viewing figures, purses, etc. Ok, he got a few hundred thousand on Sky but there’ll be five times what he got on ITV watching in Mexico alone!

It’s an interesting question. The pundits like to bandy words like undefeated around. Do we as fans care though? I know I don’t.
There are other things in boxing that are strange- the constant referral to the (almost) mythical 49-0 (who cares) and - the man who beat the man - which I find particularly weak and only seems to apply to HWs.
