ya, otto gashed up Fury's eye badly didn't he, some might have stopped it. Hurt him last round too. Credit to big Tyson for showing heart to get through that.

The Ramos v Figueroa fight was pretty brutal and Figueroa looked smashed to bits sat on his stool at the end of the sixth.
As for Ruiz/Arreola, an entertaining scrap and I was pleasantly surprised at how competitive Arreola was. The scorecards were absolutely BS and I’m not surprised that Arreola was fuming. Can you imagine the reaction if anyone said what Arreola said on Sky? Adam Smith and co would spontaneously combust!

Thought this could be a fun fight and it didnt disappoint, i had Ruiz running out a 116-111 winner, nightmare start for him dropped by a chopping right hand in the 2nd and rocked a few times not long after, Arreola couldn't miss, Ruiz needing to show a good set of whiskers, things settled down second half and Ruiz began jabbing to head and body, his best shots were the right hand/left hook, great hand speed, he landed it all night and it was that combo alone which pretty much pulled him away to take the fight, he hurt Arreola with the left hook right at end of 5th and stunned him a couple times later as well, Arreola fought smart but his workrate dropped in the second half, he stopped letting his hands go and Ruiz pulled away , not sure if Arreola hurt his left, seen him grimace a few times, all in all a decent fight

It still disappointed me. Except 2 rounds, it wasn't competetive at all.

Ruiz has a helluva chin doesn’t he. Maybe not as big a puncher as we thought, but it’s all about speed and the shots you don’t see, and Joshua certainly didn’t see that one.

Bombs away heavyweight fight that’s what we like to see, turned off the chisora one halfway through as it was such a BORING predictable affair,

Although he doesnt seem to carry the same clout as he did at the heavier weight vs AJ which will surely be an issue , if he couldnt stop a guy like arreola then I really dont see him troubling the top level guys .

fundora is a funny one, that ridiculous height, and all he wants to do is have a tear up inside

i imagine it must be hard to generate full power fighting him, when you have to swing so far above your head!

he hasnt really lost anything, he just wasnt nearly as good as people started to think he was

the aj win is a total anamoly, you'll find that he looks wild, reckless, plodding , and not exactly big punching in many of his fights. couldnt remotely budge arreola, and in fact it was chris doing by far the bigest damage. he previously couldnt even put down or stop the ghost of sergey liakhovich, a guy ko'd in 7 of his 9 losses

before the aj fight, by far his best performance was a loss to joe parker, he's about that level. chisora would give him a tough time. 40 year old chris arreola did

basically, like most guys who have an anomalously good showing out of nowhere, he's simply showing his true level again

Short, morbidly obese men everywhere who suddenly decided they were hard following the AJ win will be heartbroken by this. Personally, I don't have anything against Andy as a bloke but would like to see him out of the top 10. Apart from Fury (who has a different, but still revolting physique) I'd like to see the back of all fat boxers. They shouldn't be in that sort of shape, and things like the AJ win legitimise it. It looks terrible for the sport.
