I don’t think Sergei Lipinets had any amateur experience, went pro boxing straight from kickboxing as I understand

Young prospect who stepped up perfectly sums up genuine ATG Henry Armstrong.
Started at 16/17, lost four from his first 5....and the rest is boxing folklore.

Canelo turned pro at 15 so I'd assume he'd have no notable amateur pedigree.

TBF Osakan fighters tend to be more "bad boys" than fighters from Tokyo, Tatsuyoshi was another example get that feeling with Ioka and R. Kyoguchi as well. Likely some form of second city syndrome.

Tomiyama was a flashy, flamboyant Japanese fighter, something we don't tend to see a lot of.
