Round-by-Round: Jose Ramirez vs. Josh Taylor - May 22, 2021
Re: Round-by-Round: Jose Ramirez vs. Josh Taylor - May 22, 2021
Rd 3 - Lundy lands then does a takedown.
Something wrong with Zepeda tonight. I give that round to Lundy on landing the only substantial shot.

Stinky match up.
Re: Round-by-Round: Jose Ramirez vs. Josh Taylor - May 22, 2021
Zepeda is fighting like he is on downers. Unbelievably tentative. Gun shy. Slow.
10-9 Zepeda (un impressively)

Baranchyk woulda destroyed this Zep.
He's way below par tonight.

Round 5 - Zepeda is looking as old as Lundy. Zepeda is acting like the Baranchyk fight ruined him.

I think Zep is winning 77-76 ish.
Very lacklustre, but Henry can't capitalise.

I've got everything covered at nice prices now.
Zep has almost pulled out a dull decision win, probs should win the last just to be sure.

Re: Round-by-Round: Jose Ramirez vs. Josh Taylor - May 22, 2021
Rd 10 - (thank goodness) that sucked. Zepeda should be ashamed.
10-9 Zepeda
96-94 Zepeda
He deserves nothing based on that garbage. He needs to think hard about whether he wants to continue boxing.

Lundy controlled the tempo, showed better defense, and busted Zepeda up. Zepeda worked the body well and landed some very nice jabs at times, but didn't work enough. I had Lundy up 6-4, and it could have gone either way. 8-2 for either man is a bad card.

Re: Round-by-Round: Jose Ramirez vs. Josh Taylor - May 22, 2021
zeppy won fair and square but it was a major underperformance and obviously the judges wanted him to win
there was a very questionable decision in an earlier fight too
hopefully the poor judging doesnt continue into the main event
