Emin Atra has continued to pad his record with journeymen till 17-0, and the fact that yards is fighting him and no ones heard of him as a prospect suggests he is shit.
I’m always fascinated by the art of padding records. Like surely this guy has lost money getting to 17-0 on the gamble of getting a big fight (he has kinda got it). What will frank pay a man that is most likely journeyman level but with a 17-0 record. I don’t know if frank is gunna give this guy $500 or $100,000

Press Release | Sam Noakes: Eager To Continue Racking Up Knockout Wins
WRECKING machine Sam Noakes has targeted knocking out his first ten professional opponents.
Noakes (5-0, 5 KOs) is halfway there and the Lightweight is desperate to continue that impressive run at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday July 10, live on BT Sport.
The Maidstone banger who took just 110 seconds to finish off unbeaten Delmar Thomas in February said: “I don’t get in the ring thinking, ‘I am going to stop this guy,’ but at the back of my mind that is obviously what I want to do.
“I am hoping to get to ten fights with ten knockout wins. There is a still a long road ahead to reach ten out of ten, but I am confident I will do it.
“That is my first aim, and after that I won’t be bothered so much about going the distance.”
Noakes, 23, was a serious puncher as an amateur. He had 53 bouts, winning 47 with 26 of the victories coming via stoppage. He won the Senior ABA championships, Tri-Nations gold, two NABC titles and Gold in the Haringey Box Cup.
He added: “I don’t want to sound arrogant, but I am not surprised all my wins have come inside the distance because I could punch as an amateur.
“I always felt with smaller gloves I would do more damage. The more rounds there are in a fight the more confident I will be of getting the stoppage.”
Trainer Alan Smith isn’t hurrying to push Noakes towards major titles yet, but on the running track the youngster is racing ahead of the rest.
“If the boxing doesn’t work out I think I will become a runner,” joked Noakes who is in training to run the Brighton Marathon in September and is aiming to finish under 2 hours 50 minutes.
“I don’t like to say this, but ask Dennis McCann and all the boys. They’re not catching me. They might in the ring, but not on the track.
“I have done a sprint triathlon and I’m getting ready for my first Marathon and want to get a qualifying time for Major marathons like London.
“When I finish with boxing I will do an Ironman, but that will be too much while I am boxing especially getting ready for the 112 mile bike ride.
“If I wasn’t boxing I would still be into fitness. I have been active since I was a young age, but I am addicted to fitness.
“If I sit about I feel guilty and lazy. I am always in the gym and the morning after every fight I go for a run along the coast at sunrise.”
The 9st 9lb division is stacked with prospects that also includes Queensberry stablemate Mark Chamberlain, another fierce puncher.
Noakes who turned professional in September 2019 says: “I put my trust in my trainers completely and I don’t have a choice in how quick I should be pushed.
“There are some really good fighters in my division and I don’t feel I would come unstuck, but many of them have years of experience, going the distance and doing the hard rounds.
“That is a big factor. It’s okay me thinking I have been knocking out blokes in three and four rounds, but when you get ten rounds deep and the fella is still coming it’s going to be a different story.
“I’d love to win the British title and although I am not thinking past it my goal is being a world champion.”

Will be nice to see Noakes go down the traditional route.
Only 5 fights..
Fight for Area, then English, then Britisn/Commonwealth. Then EBU, maybe around the 20 fight mark.
Lightweight is a tough division. He;s 23 years old. Decent amateur background. He should take his time, hopefully he'll peak around 26 years old, he'll be ready for world title shot. Garcia, Lopez, Haney may have moved on to 140 by then. Cus the are te same age as well.
Hopefully he doesn't go the Frank traditional route or the IBF/WBO Euro/intercontinental crap and get a high rating without being properly challenged.

Might as well change it to TNH. Total No Hoper. Yarde and Tunde are a pair of blaggers aren't they? No intention of really progressing as a fighter, just fight stiffs and wait for a cash-out fight then he's done. It's a working business model currently but there is a shelf-life to it which i think they're close to approaching the end of.

There’s been minimal promotion for this show and I said before I’ll be surprised if the show happens in its current form this coming weekend.
It seems they’re more heavily promoting the Joyce fight - particularly on social.

Even when Yarde did have an opponent his fight wasn’t being promoted as the main event - it’s Arthur’s fight that was and there’s been minimal promotion of that.

I wonder if some UK promoters have software that can find opponents that meet all or most of the following criteria : a) are unbeaten b) have fought hardly any opponents with winning records c) have been inactive d) possibly been fighting at a lower weight e) give away height and reach f) never fought outside their own country g) have a low ko percentage.
Anything missing?

Yarde is now off the show according to the schedule. What on Earth is going on - last time it was “dental problems”, it will be interesting what the excuse is this time. Frank is a disaster

the boxrec schedule has been a bit wonky lately, with various fights (ajagba-sanchez, anderson-tereshkin for example) randomly being pulled despite nothing in the news about them being off
so id wait for something from outside boxrec

Tyson Fury posted some training photos with sparring partners. He’s sparred Ajagba and an American heavyweight and said both were on the undercard so hopefully Sanchez hasn’t pulled out.

With Yarde's disappearance and the show only days away, this is the problem with W@rren's cards !
You pay for one thing and end up getting something very different.
Archie Sharp's original opponent changed too.

It's been that way for years. He puts "a night of championship boxing" on the tickets so that a wbo intercontinental title fight means he's delivered. Nowt new.

Wank card like usual even with that fight on it.

Franky boy saving his boy to headline a card cause he has no names.. No suitable replacement is such a wind up, Atra is shit, he is there for an easy touch, those types normay fight on unwatched shows for 500 bucks... mabey they cant find a guy with as pretty a record, but they can definatly find someone that levle and it would be cheap as chips.
